[XP] Geen internetverbinding bij (update)programma's

Ik heb vandaag twee PC's opnieuw geïnstalleerd. Op beide PC's staat dezelfde Windows XP SP3 versie (Professional). Alles werkt perfect, maar er waren twee rare samenhangende problemen:

1. Bij het installeren van Skype: je download een klein installatiebestand, dat tijdens de setup het daadwerkelijke programma van internet download. Dit doet hij echter niet. Hij blijft steken bij nul procent en geeft dan een error:

2. Bij het updaten van Avira Antivirus Free gebeurt iets soortgelijks. Als ik op 'Start Update' klik blijft de downloadmanager hangen in het volgende scherm:



Ik heb een aantal theoriën:
- Een Windows Service staat uit of juist aan (hoewel ze allemaal nog op hun standaardwaarde staan!)
- Microsoft Activesync zit in de weg dit kan het niet zijn want op de andere PC heb ik geen ActiveSync geïnstalleerd
- Iets in mijn router (ik heb de Firewall al uit gezet) als ik de computer rechtstreeks verbindt (en de router dus omzeil) heb ik nog steeds dezelfde problemen.
- Ook de software-firewall heb ik al uitgezet
- Een willekeurig programma doet iets vreemds?

Dus nogmaals: ik heb het probleem op beide PC's! Allebei vandaag een schone installatie van XP gedaan!

OK! Hij doet het weer

Blijkbaar stonden de problemen toch los van elkaar. Hij doet het namelijk gewoon weer. Misschien een te drukke server. Wel raar dat Skype ook problemen gaf.

Sorry voor dit redelijk nutteloze topic. Hij kan wat mij betreft op slot!
