EMC Clariion reset password

Zo simpel is het schijnbaar niet. Het probleem waar ik tegenaanloop is dat we het wachtwoord moeten resetten van ons EMC Clariion storage platform. De 2 processors dienen dus afzonderlijk gereset te worden, zover ik heb begrepen.

Echter zijn dit de dingen waar ik tegenaan loop:

1. Standaard wachtwoord op de pagina's /home en /setup werken niet.
2. Een PPP verbinding opbouwen werkt ook niet, krijg fout 777 dat de remote computer niet reageerd.
3. Geprobeerd om in engineering modus te komen, shift alt f12, echter wanneer doe je dit ? Tijdens het posten via een hyptertrm sessie lukt dit niet...


Al met al gaat dit dus niet zo soepel. Zijn er mensen die dit probleem eerder hebben gehad en weten hoe je dit verder kunt oplossen...

Problem:    Forgot password for Navisphere 6 domain and cannot log on.
Problem:    Need to reset security because password was forgotten.
Problem:    Lost password for CX-Series, CX3 series, or AX4-5 series storage system
Fix:    You must use a serial connection for the following procedure to work:

   1. Establish a PPP connection to one of the storage processors (SPs).
   2. Point your browser to this URL: http:// 192.168.1.1/setup
   3. Click "Add a New Account."
   4. Enter a user name and in the New Password Verification text box, type in the password again.
   5. Click "Restart Management Server."

      Note: You may need to restart Management Server on both SPs.
       
   6. Point your browser to this URL: http:// <IP_address_ of _SP>
   7. Log in to domain using the newly-set username and password.

      Note: You also have the option of completely resetting domain security. However, if you select this option, you will destroy ALL domain information, including domain information for the master, other arrays, and portals. If you decide to reset domain security, replace Step 3 with the following:

      Click "Reset Security" and confirm.  (You must reset security on both SPs.)

      Then perform all other steps as described.

Note: If the procedure does not work, connect to the master SP and re-run Steps 1 to 7.
Notes:   If the AX4-5 storage system is running Navisphere Express, this solution does not apply.

Ik heb iets gevonden op internet

Try admin/password - the Navisphere user and password is case sensistive. Also, the CX4-120 now integrate with AD domains so it may be worth your while to try a domain admin username/password pair.

Use the serial cable and the maintenance port. Create a PPP connection on your Windows laptop (115200 baud, 8, no parity, 1 stop bit) and connect. Point a web browser to http://192.168.1.1/setup . If you see a username/password prompt, then you haven't connected via the service port. Scroll down until you see "Reset Security" or "Reset Domain Security" - I'm not sure what it will say on R28. Click the reset button and accept the warnings that pop up. Disconnect the serial cable. Now point a web browser to the IP address of SPA and you'll be prompted to set up domain security and set a username/password pair.

That worked, with the only difference being that I had to use the credentials below to make the PPP connection:

Password: clariion!

Bedankt voor jullie reacties. Probleem echter is, dat ik al aangaf, is dat die PPP verbinding niet tot stand kan komen. Ik heb een Serial to usb die ik aansluit op de SP en vervolgens wil opbouwen. Echter kom ik telkens dat de remote computer niet reageerd melding en dan stopt het verhaaltje.

Daar loop ik dus nog vast.

En anders bel je, zoals eerder aangegeven, EMC toch?
