Na de release van de T-Mobile G1 kwam er al snel een antwoord van China: De Sciphone Dream G2. Sciphone claimde de tweede telefoon met Android te hebben, maar het bleek om een telefoon te gaan waar een (zeer goed gelukte) Android look-a-like op draait.

Er zijn twee versies van gemaakt, de G2A en de G2B, het gaat hier om een verschil in de knoppen onderaan het scherm. De specs moet je wel met een korreltje zout nemen, de camera is bijv. geen 4 maar 2 megapixel. Bij de Google functies gaat het meestal om een link naar een google pagina.
