Hyper-V + Server 2008 - Backup Exec - Geen selectie lijst.

Beste Tweakers,

Ik heb een Hyper-V server staan met daarop een virtuele SBS 2008 server geinstalleerd.
Hiervan wil ik een backup maken.
Zowel naar een NAS als een schijf extern via USB 1x per week.

Ik heb alles geinstalleerd op de server + een aparte database voor BACKUPEXEC gemaakt.
Wanneer ik backup exec start en een backup wil aan maken dan krijg ik geen selectie lijst.
Ik kan niets selecteren om te backuppen.

er staat dan dat ik F5 moet drukken voor een refresh maar ook dit maakt geen verschil.
Het volgende kwam ik tegen:

Ik kan dus geen backup maken maar hier over vind ik ook niets op het internet.
Deze server is dan ook net 2 weken oud en dit probleem heb ik bij 2 mensen nu. Allebei nieuwe server van binnen 1 maand oud.

Iemand enig idee wat dit kan wezen?

Dit ziet er gewoon uit als een doodnormale stacktrace van een .NET app.
Patchlevel en versie van je backup software is bovendien wel zo handig om even te vermelden, denk je ook niet?

De melding die ik zie in de selectie lijst: Connection with server faild. Hit <F5> to refresh.

- Backup Exec is volledig in de firewall uitgezonderd.
- Vedere firewalls geen melding in.

Oplossing is gevonden nadat er contact is opgenomen met Symantec Backup Exec:

Local and remote selections may not be displayed if Backup Exec is installed on a Windows 2008 server.

Details:
When trying to create a backup job on a Windows 2008 Server the Local as well as the Remote Selections might not be available as shown in Figure 1.

This issue occurs if the default logon account that is used does not have the right to "Logon as a batch job". By default this policy is applied to Administrators and the Backup Operators group. This user right is defined in the Default Domain Controller Group Policy object (GPO) and in the local security policy of workstations and servers and it allows a user to be logged on by means of a batch-queue facility.

Solution:
1) Go to "Start" > "Programs" > "Administrative Tools" > "Group Policy Management"
2) Go to "Domains" > "Domain_Name" > "Group Policy Objects". Right click on "Default Domain Controllers Policy" and click on "Edit".
3) Under "Computer Configuration" click on "Windows Settings" > "Security Settings" > "Local Policies" > "User Rights Assignment" as shown in Figure 2.

4) Double click on the user right "logon as a batch job" and add the Backup Exec service account as shown in Figure 3.

5) On windows 2008 server click start -- run and type in gpupdate /force :- this will update the group policy forcibly

6) On the media server restart the Backup exec services
