[Skype] werkt niet onder 10.5.8 icm nieuwste (java) updates.

[Underworld]

Het leek mijn vriendin en ik leuk om te gaan skypen maar bij haar doet skype het dus niet.
Heb zo'n beetje alles geprobeerd, slepen naar programma's eraf gegooit en opnieuw opgestart, mijn download op haar MacBook geïnstalleerd. etc. (bij oude versies wilt hij trouwens eerst updaten naar de nieuwste versie)

Daarna voordat ik haar macbook nog niet geupdate had naar 10.5.8 en de nieuwste java versie.... werkte het nog steeds niet.

Hij loopt vast op het moment dat je je account gegevens invult en op verbinden drukt. het bolletje gaat ook niet draaien, alleen de strandbal en daarna valt ie weg en kun je de boel opsturen naar Apple (je kent het wel).
Zou het iemand helpen als ik het fout logboek hier neerzet? Ikzelf weet niet goed hoe dat te analyseren namelijk...

Als voorbeeld, ik heb eigenlijk altijd hetzelfde gehad met het programma iRooster, dat programma boeit me niet, maar skype is wel even iets anders natuurlijk....

Welke versie van Java heb je en welke Skype versie?

Zelf heb ik hier 10.5.8 draaien met Skype 2.7.0.330 zonder problemen. Java versie is 12.3.0, aangezien deze automatisch met de OS X software update wordt bijgewerkt vermoed ik dat dit de laatste versie is, update geeft geen nieuwe versies aan.

Wat je kunt proberen is AppTrap downloaden en Skype weggooien uit je Applications. AppTrapp gooit ook alle bijbehorende configuratiebestanden uit je systeemmappen weg, volgens mij gaat het dan vooral om de .plist bestanden met instellingen. Dan Skype opnieuw installeren zodat je geen oude rotzooi meer hebt rondslingeren.

Een tweede optie is proberen met een ander/nieuw account inloggen om te zien of dat wat oplevert.

Gebruik een Macbook 3,1 (mid of late 2007, de laatste serie uit 2007 iig) met 2 gb ram, hoewel ik niet denk dat dat hiermee te maken heeft als 't voorheen wel goed ging.

Heb nu net een nieuwe versie van Skype gedownload en die werkt ook prima: 2.8.0.659
Heb niet de oude weggegooid, gewoon overschreven.

Met java preferences.app kan je de gebruikte java versie instellen. Misschien kan je een oudere of nieuwere proberen? Vind het alleen raar dat dit met elkaar te maken zou hebben.
