Hi,
I've connected the onboard ALC883 soundcard to a Harmon Kardon 5.1 speakerset.
Music that is played from Windows Vista mediacenter or Windows mediaplayer is only sent to the front-end speakers, but not to the subwoofer.
Testing of individual speakers triggers the subwoofer (and other) speakers so there isn't a connection issue.
Also Dolby surround movies with media player and ffdshow codecs are using all the 6 speakers.
In the sound card configuration i enabled Realtek High Definition Audio and set this to default.
The configuration is 5.1 Surround With optional speakers rear pair, center and subwoofer selected.
Full range speakers is unselected because i use satelite speakers as front-end speakers.
The driver version is 6.0.1.5559 (30-01-2008)
I wonder how to activate the subwoofer with mediacenter or mediaplayer?
