Last week, I ordered a Popcorn Hour at 1dayfly.nl and it was delivered today.
After opening the package, this is what happened:
1) I installed a hard disk, a WD 10000EB035-01, in the Popcorn Hour A-110;
2) I connected the Popcorn Hour A-110 with the supplied HDMI cable to my LCD TV (Full HD, Sharp);
3) I switched on the Popcorn Hour A-110.
Result:
I can see nothing happen, only a little orange light (standby?) on the front.
4) I then tried all types of TV Modes, using the supplied HDMI cable, another HDMI cable, S-Video cable, Component cable and a Composite cable. Non produces a screen/signal.
5) Since this has not helped to install the Popcorn Hour A-110, I went to this site, to look for possible solutions to the problem.
6) I followed the steps listed
Result:
No signal, no loading screen.
7) I switched off the Popcorn Hour A-110;
I uninstalled the hard disk, a WD 10000EB035-01;
9) I switched on the Popcorn Hour A-110.
Result:
I can see nothing happen, again only a little orange light (standby?) on the front.
10) I then tried all types of TV Modes, using the supplied HDMI cable, another HDMI cable, S-Video cable, Component cable and a Composite cable. Non produces a screen/signal.
11) Since this has not helped to install the Popcorn Hour A-110, I went to this site, to look for possible solutions to the problem.
12) I followed the steps listed
Result:
Still no signal, no loading screen.
What is also striking is that the device does not appear to respond to the remote control. I have tested this with a digital camera and I can see that the remote does something at the time that I push a button.
I hope I have clearly described how I have tried to install the device. If you have any questions, please let me know.
I hope you have a solution for this problem soon. Thanks for the effort.
