Ud4p & 24 pins connecter?

Beste Tweakers!

Ik heb net een nieuwe pc ( in onderdelen ) gekocht, alles aansluiten etc verliep vrij eenvoudig.
Moederbord: gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P
Voeding: Zalman zm-850hp
( als er verder nog iets is wat jullie moeten weten vraag het maar )

Maar ik liep toch nog tegen een probleem/vraag aan, en ik wou het graag zeker weten voordat ik de pc opstart.

Op het moederbord zit een 24 pins connector.


Maar bij de voeding zat een 20-en-een-4 pins connector aan dezelfde "tak"
Nou is mijn vraag dus, moet de 4 pins connector samen met de 20 pins op het moederbord in de 24 pins connector? of moet deze ergens anders?

de 20+4 moet daar komen ja, dan heb je ook nog een losse stekker met 4 of 8 pinnen, die moet rechts naast dat ultra durable

In de manual staat dat in die 2de aansluiting GEEN stekker mag indien een 20 pins + 4 pins stekker gebruikt wordt.

power supply is turned off and all devices are properly installed. The power connector possesses
a foolproof design. Connect the power supply cable to the power connector in the correct orientation.
The 12V power connector mainly supplies power to the CPU. If the 12V power connector is not
connected, the computer will not start.

• Use of a power supply providing a 2x4 12V power connector is recommended by the
CPU manufacturer when using an Intel Extreme Edition CPU (130W).
• To meet expansion requirements, it is recommended that a power supply that can withstand
high power consumption be used (500W or greater). If a power supply is used that does not
provide the required power, the result can lead to an unstable or unbootable system.
• The power connectors are compatible with power supplies with 2x2 12V and 2x10 power
connectors. When using a power supply providing a 2x4 12V and a 2x12 power connector,
remove the protective covers from the 12V power connector and the main power connector on
the motherboard. Do not insert the power supply cables into pins under the protective covers
when using a power supply providing a 2x2 12V and a 2x10 power connector.

Of dat is toch wat ik er van maak, misschien dat iemand anders een ander gedacht heeft.

De manual is hier redelijk duidelijk in lijkt me. Het ding is compatible met 20 en met 24 pins connectoren en met 4 of 8 pins connectoren voor het moederbord.
Dit topic gaat op slot omdat dit toch echt valt onder het basiswerk dat je zelf op kunt zoeken.

Nee, dat staat er niet. Er staat dat je die connector bij gebruik van een 20 pins en 4 pins niet in het stuk moet duwen waar de protective cover opzit.
