HP MSA2000 storage combi's

Ik heb me de laatste dagen flink verdiept in de MSA2000 storage producten van HP. Ik weet dat je een MSA2012 kan voorzien van 4 extra MSA2000 cabinets en een MSA2324 kan je voorzien van of 4 MSA2000 of 3 MSA70 cabinets.

Maar waar ik nergens wat over vind, niet in de HP documentatie of met Google, is of je bij een MSA2324 ook MSA70 én MSA2000 cabinets tegelijk kan linken en zo ja welke mix maximaal ondersteund wordt, of zou gewoon het maximum van 99 disks blijven gelden?

Ik hoop dat dit het juiste forum is, het gaat toch om vrij professioneel spul

MSA2000 3.5-inch drive enclosure. This 2U unit has twelve LFF (3.5-inch) drive bays and accepts for MSA2 dual-ported SAS and SATA drives. One model (AJ749A) has a single I/O module that matches with a single controller array head, giving a single path to the drives. The second model (AJ750A) comes standard with two I/O modules installed, required when paired with a dual controller array head, giving two paths to the drives for higher availability.

This 3.5-inch drive enclosure can be attached to either the MSA2312fc or MSA2324fc array head. In addition it continues to support the MSA2000i and MSA2000sa.
Each model ships standard with two .6m SAS to SAS cables for cascading to other MSA2000 drive enclosures
For connection to either form-factor MSA2300fc array head, miniSAS to SAS cable(s) must be purchased.
The single I/O model can be upgraded to a dual model with the purchase of an additional MSA2000 Drive Enclosure I/O module (AJ751A). No cable is included with this upgrade.
Up to four MSA2000 3.5-inch enclosures can be attached to an MSA2300fc G2 controller in the array head.

MSA70 2.5-inch drive enclosure. This 2U storage enclosure (418800-B21) is designed to support twenty five ProLiant 2.5-inch Universal form factor (SFF) SAS or SATA hard drives. It ships standard with a single I/O module installed.

This 2/5-inch drive enclosure can only be attached to an MSA2324fc G2 controller (SFF)array head. It cannot be attached to the MSA2312fc (LFF) or the MSA2000i or MSA2000sa models.
The MSA70 enclosure ships with a single .5m miniSAS to miniSAS cable.
To support a dual controller MSA2124fc G2 array head, the user needs to purchase and install an MSA70 Dual Domain I/O Module (AG779A). This option ships standard with an additional .5m miniSAS to miniSAS cable.
Up to three MSA70s may be attached to the array head, given total support for 99 SFF drives.

Klopt. Die tekst had ik al gelezen, net als alle andere HP docs over deze serie. Maar daarin staat niet duidelijk of het mogelijk is om de MSA70 en MSA2000 drive enclosures te combineren icm MSA2324 'array head'. Er staat in ieder geval niet dat het niet mogelijk is.
