Ik wil via policies Word 2007, Access 2007, Excell 2007 deployen over het netwerk en heb hiervoor met de Office Customization Tool voor alle drie een MSP file gemaakt waar alleen het nodige pakket alleen beschikbaar was. Nu om te testen had ik alleen de Excel.MSP in de map updates geplaatst maar mijn clients krijgen nog de volledig Office doorgestuurd. Hoe kan ik er nu voor zorgen dat dit gelinkt wordt?

En is het mogelijk om voor ieder Office-onderdeel een aparte deployment te maken? Want hoe ik het begrijp moet dit in de map update geplaatst worden van de CD maar als daar alle 3 de MSP files instaan, weet het pakket nog niet welke hij moet kiezen?

Is er misschien iemand die hier wel raad mee weet?

Staat er inderdaad onduidelijk in:

Limited ability to customize features or user settings before installation of the 2007 Office system. Administrators cannot use a Setup customization file (.MSP) created with the Office Customization Tool (OCT) to apply customizations for initial deployment. These customizations must be made in the Config.xml file.

Maar in een gelinked artikel staat:

Using the OCT, you customize Office and save your customizations in a Setup customization MSP file. You place the file in the Updates folder on the network installation point. When you install Office, Setup looks for a Setup customization file in the Updates folder and applies the customizations. The Updates folder can only be used for deploying software patches during an initial installation of 2007 Office system

Het spreekt elkaar een beetje tegen. Probeer onderstaande eens om je MSP eens te testen?

As an alternative to placing the customization MSP file in the Updates folder, you can use the Setup command-line option /adminfile to specify the fully-qualified path to the location of the MSP file. For example, type: setup.exe /adminfile \\server\share\mychanges\custom.msp.

in de gewone setup.exe file kan je dit toch niet aanpassen of waar moet dit precies aangepast worden?
