Way to go FutureMark

Ik had ook al een korte review geschreven voor de clan waar ik in zit (wel in engels), niet zoveel zin om te vertalen
contributing my 5-cents (aka
3 to 4 10 hours gameplay)
Overview and conclusion
I played this game for a couple of hours, and a refreshing chill that went through my spine!
After an hour of stumbling around (getting used to controls + configuring the right settings) i got busy

There are only a few maps (the level-design is out of this world!), but these are all very big and give alot of variation. The trick is to not only watch the normal screen but also the radar (and interpret this right

) because enemies come from ALL directions.
One of the first things I noticed was that you get points for assisting teammates (which improves my multiplayer-socialism).. and killing enemies is not as easy as it seems. Spotting the enemy is 50% of the game, and then you have to kill him before you get killed (other 50%). The coolest feature is by far the moving around in the 3D space (around for examples spacestation, moon-base or asteroids) which you will either HATE of LOVE, the complete freedom of movement (rotating around own axis, movement in X-,Y- and Z-axis) is just so liberating and frightning at the same time. Enemies come from all directions, and most often you will be killed before you see the person that attacked you... but this goes 2-ways

I had alot of fun, with mostly friendly players. Big levels, quick action, low pings

, an ideal mix of ingredients.
Hopefully this game will be a clan-supported game because it has great potential and this is a shooter in which teamplay and coordination is really important for succesfull assaults.
Battle styles:
- Go aggressive assault: moving alot and shoot from medium to short distances, always on the frontline!
- Sniper: Get on solid ground and wait for the prey... hehehe ... Head and/or tank-shot muahahah
- Hit & Run: Mix of assault with retreat to sniper.. ideal to get more overview and perfect for assisting other players
- Melee: Get up close and personal.. (not very effective... you will be killed alot)
I played several modes:
- TDM: Team deathmatch, classic just 2 teams
- Control: Capture control points (like Fear2 control mode), each team starts with equal number of control points
- Assault: Defend (or attack) control points (1 team gets all CP and has to defend)
- Training: Some server you cannot kill anybody but this is nice to get used to controls! (and graphic settings)
Pros:
- Loads of fun!
- Relative cheap for a new game ( cost me 17 euro)
- Dedicated server (up to 32 players!)
- Very nice graphics (and lighting)
- True 3D movement for a FPS (X-, Y- and Z-axis, including rolling around own axis (so cool))
- Intense like hell, feeling constant threats from every angle/direction (behind every structure)
- Assist are taken into account (gets you points), so sticking your neck out for team mates will not go unrewarded
Cons:
- Requires DirectX10 (vista or windows7, in combination with a Nvidia-8800 or Ati-3870 or newer)
- Takes some time to get use to FREE 3D-movement (movement in all axis)
- (Sometimes) difficult to spot enemies and/or aiming
- No XFire support (yet), but lots of people want that!
- Very hectic in close combat (from some distance it is cool, but when real close it is a mess)
