Flashen van Bios --> boem :/

Ik heb mijn bios geflashed. Maar me geflashde bios ziet het leven niet meer zitten. Me computer start niet meer op
Ik heb het baterijtje van de bios eruit gewipt... meer dan 3 uur... Het jumpertje dat er vlak bij zit verwisseld en later terug gezet... (wat je CMOS behoord te resetten volgens de manual) maar nog steeds start me comp niet meer op. Wat nu? Nieuwe bios dan maar?

Ik hoop voor je dat de PC de A:\-drive nog probeert te lezen.

take your computer to Norrod - for 50 FL. they will reprogram it for you!

Not cheap, but saves you the trouble and cost of buying (online) a new BIOS chip.

Norrod is in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Zwolle. You probably know the store.

Heb ik ook gehad, kreeg alleen maar errors toen ik aan het flashen was. Ook toen ik mijn oude bios dan maar terug probeerde te zetten. Stekker eruit getrokken en 5 dagen later deed ie het weer. Hoezo wonder
alleen af en toe nog boot errors.

Bij funprice doen ze dit voor 20 piek geloof ik:)

dit viste ik van tyan toen ik een bios voor de peecee's op school aan het zoeken was. misschien werkt het ook op andere borden/bios'en...

Recovery Method for Tyan Pentium II / III models with BX or GX chipsets, BIOS version 1.12 or higher ONLY:

Requirements: File to program (unzipped) on a clean floppy disk with no other files. Keyboard used must be PS/2 (you cannot use USB or wireless).

Procedure:

Download the file to program and rename the file to amiboot.rom
Copy the renamed file, "amiboot.rom", to a clean floppy diskette with no other files on the diskette. DO NOT MAKE IT BOOTABLE!
Next, power off system and place the diskette with the renamed file into the floppy disk drive.
While holding the "Ctrl" and "Home" keys down together, turn the system power on. NOTE: ther will be no display during this procedure.
Once the A: drive is initialized, let go of the keys. Afterwards, the floppy disk drive will program the new BIOS version. This process takes approximately 10-15 seconds.
The system will indicate programming completion of the BIOS with a beep or a series of beeps. Thereafter, it is safe to turn off the system.
Clear the CMOS.
