Exchange 2003: Database van andere server mounten

Hallo,

Ik heb afgelopen weekeind een crash gehad van een windows 2003 SBS R2 server, hierop heb ik een kopie van de hele raid10 setup gemaakt in een andere machine en vervolgens de server opnieuw geinstalleerd, tot zover alles nog gelukt. het probleem waar ik nu mee zit is dat de oude exchange store nog mail/agenda's bevat die ik moet hebben. ben inmiddels al 4 dagen bezig om dit voor elkaar te krijgen, kan de store niet mounten om met exmerge er data uit te krijgen. en offline er een pst van trekken lukt me ook niet. iemand die me hier mee kan helpen?

Heb je de nieuwe server wel de exact zelfde servernaam, netbios en dnsdomeinnaam gegeven? Want dat is bij Exchange 2003 cruciaal!

Je kunt de ExTRA gebruiken om de boel weer op de rit te krijgen. Verder zijn er een aantal tools die de ruwe data uit de files kunnen halen, die zijn prijzig maar dat is je data en jouw tijd waarschijnlijk ook.

Welke messages krijg je bij het mouten dan? Je zou eventueel legacydn.exe kunnen gebruiken om wat dingen aan te passen maar dat is niet ondersteund en die server kan daarna ook niet meer in productie worden genomen:

Heb inmiddels meerdere dingen geprobeerd, met het ExTRA programma krijg ik de volgende fouten als ik de DB probeer te repareren:

Misschien dat iemand nog een freeware programma weet zodat ik gewoon er een PST uit kan extracten, het gaat maar om 2 mailboxen. de programma's die ik kan vinden kosten direct 400-1000 euro. beetje te gek voor 2 mailboxen.

Je database is in clean shutdown dus je hoeft hem niet meer te repareren. Nogmaals, als je die database mount, welke meldingen krijg je dan in je event log?
En freeware gaat je niet lukken, die bestaan bij mijn weten niet. MIsschien een demo versie van ontrack powertools maar het lijkt me sterk dat dat een volledige versie zou zijn.

Ik heb weinig/niets nieuws toe te voegen maar blijf idd af van de ESEUTIL /p (scheelt je nog een hoop tijd ook ) en het belangrijkste is idd dat de organization name en administrative group names in Exchange gelijk zijn.

Het tooltje err.exe is hiervoor erg handig (die kan je van ms.com downloaden):

Verder, als je al een /p gedraaid hebt, heb je ook een prompt gekregen om de logfiles te verwijderen. Ik neem aan dat je dat ook gedaan hebt?

Log files verwijderd en toen wilde hij idd wel mounten, nu zit ik nog met het probleem dat ik met exmerge nog geen pst kan extracten(krijg een error), en ook inloggen met de betreffende gebruiker resulteerd er in dat exchange een nieuwe lege mailbox aanmaakt met dezelfde naam ipv te connecten op de mailbox. Wat kan ik daar aan doen?

En je moet die mailboxen natuurlijk wel reconnecten aan je user accounts.

Het is gelukt. Het was inderdaad dat reconnecten. heb m'n mail en agenda weer terug!
