EMU 1212m i.c.m 64 bit OS

Hoi Tweakers!

ik heb lopen zoeken op internet of mijn geluidskaart EMU1212m flexibel zal lopen met Vista 64-bit..

ik kom het volgende tegen:

Driver Package V2.1 contains the following feature enhancements and fixes:

Windows Vista - Fixes a "memory leak" bug in PatchMix in which PatchMix would continue to use, and fail to release system RAM.

Fixes a typo in the Insert Send list when using sample rates of 88.2 kHz and higher.

Fixes a rare bug on some computer systems where distortion occurs when using WDM at sample rates of 88.2 kHz and above.

Changes from V2.00 Release:
Added Windows Vista support
Added support for 1616 PCI, 1616M PCI
Added new Core effects (see PatchMix 2.00 app notes for details)

* 64-bit compatibility with the E-MU Production Tools
Software Bundle *
The applications shipped as part of the E-MU Production Tools
are not fully compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows.
Specifically,

- WaveLab Lite does not work correctly unless it is
operating in 32-bit compatibility mode.

- AmpliTube LE and T-RackS EQ won't install under
64-bit Windows.

- DiscWelder Bronze doesn't include 64-bit drivers for
DVD burning.

- Emulator X VSTi and Proteus X VSTi will work in 32-bit
host applications, but not, at this time, in 64-bit
host applications. Emulator X standalone will run in
32-bit emulation mode on 64-bit systems.

- Cubase LE causes PatchMix to freeze the first time it
is run if the current sample rate is 88.2kHz or greater.

naar mijn weten spreekt deze info zich tegen elkaar,

heeft iemand ervaring met 1212m i.c.m. een 64-bit OS ?

De EMU 1212m werkt dus wel op Vista x64.... maar;

• Wavelab moet in 32bits mode gedraaid worden
• AmpliTube LE en T-RackS EQ werken niet onder x64
• met DiscWelder Bronze kun je niets branden onder x64 vanwege dat er geen drivers zijn
• Emulator X VSTi en Proteus X VSTi werken wel in 32bit hosts (dus bijv. FLStudio 3GB wel, maar niet de x64 versie)
• Cubase LE heeft een bug met de eerste keer opstarten met een hoge sampling rate.

voor de rest werkt de kaart dus wel onder Vista x64

wat bedoel je precies met (dus bijv. FLStudio 3GB wel, maar niet de x64 versie)

ik ga namelijk overstappen naar een 64bit OS i.c.m 8GB ram

gaat dit wel lukken dan?

Als je een host applicatie draait (Cubase, Neundo, Ableton Live, FLStudio bijv) dan moet je deze in 32bit mode draaien. Toevallig weet ik dat FLStudio daar een mode voor heeft die heet FLStudio (3GB RAM). Bij Cubase of andere pakketten weet ik dit niet.

Echter weet ik ook niet welke host applicatie jij gebruikt, dus je zou even moeten nakijken bij de fabrikant van je host applicatie of er een 32bit mode aanwezig is. Anders zou je ook kunnen proberen ASIO4ALL te gebruiken ipv de Emu Asio.

Ik maak gebruik van FL Studio 8, 2 GB DDR3

echter wil ik deze uitbreiden naar 8 GB ( vandaar dat ik wil overstappen naar een 64-bit OS )

ik maak nu idd gebruik van EMU ASIO,

als ik overstap naar ASIO4ALL, heb ik dan een mindere geluids kwaliteit?
