Ik heb recentelijk ubuntu geinstalleerd en wil hierop graag een ftp server draaien.

na wat rondzoeken ben ik uitgekomen bij gproftpd (grafische shell voor proftpd) maar loop nog steeds tegen configuratie issues aan. Ik heb wat rond gegoogled en een aantal mogelijke oplossingen geprobeerd maar tot dusver lukt het niet om de boel goed aan de praat te krijgen.

probleem: wanneer je op activate drukt blijft status deactivated actief. er volgen geen error messages

IP Adress geconfigureerd richting router is 10.0.0.155
versies: linux: Ubuntu 8.1x ; proftpd 3.1.3; gproftpd 0.3.5

configuratie is opnieuw aangepast en rechten opnieuw ingesteld. starten vanaf gproftpd werkt niet... via de commandline wel. activate wordt enabled.
