Opstart problemen met twee verschillende raid controllers

Mobo: Asus P5Q-EM
Highpoint Rocketraid controller 2300
HD: Samsung 3 X (raid 5 via mobo)
HD: Samsung 3X (raid 5 via Rocketraid)

Vista 64 geïnstalleerd op de Samsung 320 gig schijven welke samengevoegd zijn tot raid5 welke via de chip gaan op het moederbord.

Indien ik daarna de rocketraid controller plaats in de computer om de overige Samsung schijven van elk 1000 gig samen te voegen naar een extra raid5 config kan ik niet meer opstarten. Ik krijg de melding dat er geen besturingssysteem aanwezig is. Indien ik dan naar het bios ga zie ik bij de opstart volgorde de raidcontroller van het mobo niet meer aanwezig is, dus ik kan deze niet als eerste zetten.
Haal ik de rocketraid controller er weer uit, kan ik daarna weer kiezen voor de raid config van het mobo en dus gewoon opstarten.

samsung f1 en raid schijnt niet erg lekker te gaan. Misschien dat dat er mee te maken heeft.

Dat er problemen zijn met Samsung schijven heb ik volop gelezen en tot op heden ondervonden. Had continue last van bluescreens. Onlangs een update gedaan van het mobo en het draait nu al een dag goed (even afkloppen). Probleem is dat het bios nadat de rocketraid actief is de raid op het moederbord niet meer ziet en ik dus niet kan opstarten.

Probeer eens een ander PCIe slot te gebruiken. Waarschijnlijk is het een resources issue. Ik heb vaker dergelijke problemen gezien icm Promise controllers.

Answer: Some motherboards may be unable to load the card's BIOS into memory, especially if other devices (such as onboard RAID or SCSI controllers) are active.This could prevent the card, or other device, from booting the system
If these additional controllers are not needed, try disabling them using the motherboard's BIOS menu.
If this is not an option, press the "End" key when the host adapter's BIOS is first displayed - this will cancel the card's BIOS load.
This should prompt the motherboard to skip the host adapter card, and proceed to the next device.Arrays and disks attached to the card will still be accessible through the operating system.
To avoid pressing the "End" during every boot session, try disabling some of the card's BIOS features.To do so, flash (upgrade) the card's BIOS, and access the BIOS sub-menu.
If you intend to boot from the host adapter card, disable the option listed as "Reallocate EBDA".If you do not need to boot from the host adapter card, disable both the "Reallocate EBDA" and "INT13" options.
