[Vista x64]Microfoon/Skype/MSN issue

Operating system: Vista x64 (origineel, laatste updates)
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R (Realtek audio)

Ik krijg het ondanks veel pogingen niet (meer) voor elkaar om mijn (of een andere) microfoon werkend te krijgen in Vista waardoor ik geen VoIP in Skype en MSN kan gebruiken. Enkele maanden geleden was dit nog geen enkel probleem wat het een software issue maakt, misschien te danken aan een Vista of Realtek driver update.

Onder 'Opname apparaten' staat de poort en de microfoon als ingeschakeld (Mic in at front panel (Pink)) en geeft geen storingen aan. Bij de eigenschappen staat het volume op 100% en de boost op +0dB (veranderingen in deze beide bieden geen uitkomst).

Uit post in verschillende forums blijkt dat veel mensen deze problemen hebben en voor enkele slechts een oplossing is gevonden. Dell gebruikers kunnen met een registry edit problemen verhelpen:

Long and short of it is:
1) Open regedit (Start->Run, type regedit)
2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000\Settings\filter\SpeakerHp\
3) Create a new Binary Value
4) Give it the name EnableInputMonitor
5) Set it's value to 01
6) Restart your machine
7) Open your Playback Devices (right click on volume control icon in system tray, select Playback Devices)
Open the Speakers/Headphones
9) Go to the levels tab
10) Unmute the input monitor


Deze oplossing bleek niet te werken voor mijn systeem. Heb immers geen Dell, andere onboard audio en dus niet de genoemde registry key. Ook het zelf aanmaken van deze key had geen effect.

Volgende oplossing:

I have got it this time.
1. Download Latest drivers form the Manufacturer’s web site
2. Uninstall Microsoft Default Sound card drives.
3. Then install the downloaded drivers
4. Restart your computer
5. After installing the latest driver
6. Right click on volume icon in system tray
7. Select "Sounds".
8. Select "Playback" tab.
9. Double Click on "Speakers".
10. Select "Levels".
11. Click the "Input Monitor" button to un-mute it.
12. Adjust volume on input device and on speakers.

De nieuwste drivers van Realtek hadden geen effect. Input monitor button is niet zichtbaar en de mute/unmute button staat in ieder geval op unmute.

Volgende oplossing werkte ook niet:

I had the same problems with the mic. I have a Dell laptop Inspiron 6400 with a Sigmatel sound system.
Here is how I simply got it fixed:
1. -> Control Panel -> Device manager
2. Expand 'Sound, Video and Game Controllers'
3. Right Click on 'High definition Audio Devices'
4. Select 'Uninstall'
5. In Device Manager Window select from top tool bar: -> Action -> Scan for hardware changes
6. Driver installs automatically again

De volgende ging ook niet op omdat de betreffende maps en registry niet te vinden waren:

If you have a Realtek HD audio chipset (mine is an ALC268) with a Vista OS and need to activate the built-in software audio router (input monitor) you need to enable by modifying the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0000\Settings\ForceDisableID

Edit the Binary Value from "00" to "01" and reboot. Your Realtek HD Audio Manager will now have extra tabs, one of which is 'FrontLineIn'. Select this tab and click the 'Line In Playback' button to modify settings according to your preference.


Ondanks bedoeld voor Relatek drivers waren de volgende registries ook niet te vinden:

Sigmatel drivers have a well known solution to monitor the Mic Input
through speakers/headphones in Vista, by adding EnableMonitorInput in
the registry. It only worked with Sigmatel. I finally found a similar
solution for Realtek drivers.

Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\0001\AD1981\Disable

There are two binary keys in there, "MicV" and "MonR".
Both have 01 values.
Change them to 00 so they won't be disabled anymore.
Restart.
Now you can go to Speakers in "Playback devices", hit "Properties",
then "Levels", and there you have it: you can Mute/Unmute microphone
monitoring and even set a preferred level.
Now you can also record your Skype conversations.

Dus in short; veel oplossingen geprobeerd, geen gevonden. Iemand suggesties om de microfoon input weer aan het werk te krijgen?

Je kan natuurlijk wel kijken of er een iets afwijkende GUID is die wel betrekking heeft op jouw audiocontroller, misschien dat het dan wel werkt.

Nope, laat ook maar. De GUID ( dat {4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} ding) is in ieder geval wel de juiste.

Ik zou alleen niet in ControlSet001 kijken, maar gewoon in CurrentControlSet. Misschien dat dat helpt?
