Hoe route 66 updaten voor Nokia 6670?

Een collega van mij heeft een Nokia 6670 en daarop geinstalleerd Route 66.

Via een pc op kantoor de update gedownload en de telefoon gekoppeld aan die pc met een kabel.
Ik zie wel de telefoonkaart en geheugen maar weet niet hoe je nu die update moet installeren.

Ik heb gezocht maar men begint over mass storage mode e.d. maar ik zie nergens een overzicht van de te verrichten handelingen.

Kan iemand aangeven hoe je nu die update installeert?

Nee dat heb ik niet geinstalleerd.

Als ik dat wel doe kan het dan eenvoudig (voor een leek) worden geinstalleerd?

ik heb zelf geen ervaring met route 66, maar in principe is zo dat je alles via nokia pc suite installeert.
Zit er een .sis bestand in de update?

Nee, het is een .exe bestand.

These updates will only work if you have bought a "ROUTE 66 Mobile 7" product. The update requires the original "ROUTE 66 Mobile 7" product.

This update is both for 2nd edition and 3rd edition supported phones.


Installation steps
1) Determine the version of ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 that you currently have. Launch Mobile 7 and select Options->View->About Mobile. The version information is displayed in the header and in the About text.

If the version is 7.0.1095 (for S60 2nd edition devices) or 7.3.545 (for S60 3rd edition devices), you are already up to date! If the version is 7.0 or 7.0.x where x is a number less than 1095 (for S60 2nd edition devices); 7.3, or 7.3.x where x is a number less than 545 (for S60 3rd edition devices), download the update file available under the link at the bottom of the page.

2) Remove the memory card from your phone and insert it into the MultiMediaCard reader/writer.

3) Insert the memory card reader/writer into the USB port of your PC.

If you have a 3rd edition phone, you can also use the data cable connection (select the option Mass Storage / Data transfer depending on the phone model)

4) Run the update file

5) Follow the instructions on the screen.

6) The installation proceed (it takes about one minute)

7) The message "InstallShield Wizard Complete" appears to indicate a successful completion of the update procedure.

Remove the data cable / memory card from the memory card reader/writer and insert it into your mobile phone.

9) Launch ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 from your phone's Application Menu

10) Activate the product as mentioned in the manual
