Philips Webcam (pcvc675k) installeren

Ik heb een Philips Vesta PCVC675K webcam, onder w98 werkt hij perfect, maar onder windows 2000 krijg ik hem niet aan de gang. Ik heb de "drivers" geinstalleerd (VestaWebUpdate14.exe), maar tijdens de installatie krijg ik te zien dat bepaalde Registry keys onder w2k niet verwijderd kunnen worden, en dat ik dat zelf moet doen mbv devicemanager. Welke keys zijn dat, hoe kan ik het probleem omzeilen, of zijn er andere drivers? (Ik vind het vaag dat er bij installatie keys verwijderd moeten worden trouwens).

Introduction
============
The VestaWebUpdate14.exe file is a driver upgrade for the PCVC675K, PCVC680K
and PCVC690K Philips PC Cameras. You may use this driver upgrade if you
encounter problems with audio support or fatal exception in QCAP.DLL when using
Philips Wizard.
It upgrades the PCVC675K/PCVC680K installation disks version 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3
and the PCVC690K installation disk version 1.1. This upgrade is Windows 98,
Windows 2000 and Windows ME compatible.

Upgrading PCVC675K, PCVC680K or PCVC690K with Windows 98 or Windows ME.

To upgrade the Philips PC Camera with Windows 98 or Windows ME and Vesta Web
Update 1.4 act as following:
1. Install the camera using the installation disk supplied with the camera.
2. Unplug your camera and run the VestaWebUpdate14.exe file.
3. Follow the instructions on screen.
4. Plug in the camera when you are asked to do so.
After finishing the driver installation you may install the application on the
CD ROM supplied with the camera if not installed yet. Do not install the older
drivers when you asked to do so and do not use the "Reinstall the Philips Camera
onto your computer" button as this will downgrade the camera drivers again.

Upgrading PCVC675K, PCVC680K and PCVC690K with Windows 2000.

To upgrade the Philips PC Camera with Windows 2000 and Vesta Web Update 1.4
act as following:
1. Install the camera using the installation disk supplied with the camera.
2. Stop the installation if an error message appears on screen (typically for
PCVC675K/PCVC680K installation disk version 1.1 and 1.2).
3. Remove Camera Hardware devices from your system (see chapter "Removing
Hardware Devices manually in Windows 2000")
4. Run the VestaWebUpdate14.exe file.
5. Follow the instructions on screen.
6. Plug in the camera when you are asked to do so.
After finishing the driver installation the application software on the CD ROM
supplied with the Philips PC Camera may be installed if not done yet. Do not
install the older drivers when asked to do so and do not use the "Reinstall the
Philips Camera onto your computer" button as this will downgrade the camera
drivers again.

Removing Hardware Devices manually in Windows 2000.
===================================================
If the camera once has been installed on a Windows 2000 computer it is not
possible to upgrade or reinstall automatically due to Windows 2000 protection.
Before upgrading or reinstallation all Philips Camera related Hardware Devices
have to be removed manually from the system. Please act as following:
1. Unplug the camera.
2. Select "Start/Settings/Control Panel" to open "Control Panel" window.
3. Start "Add/Remove Hardware" in "Control Panel" window.
4. Press "Next" in the "Welcome to Add/Remove Hardware Wizard" window.
5. Select "Uninstall/Unplug a device" in the "Choose a Hardware Task" window
and press Next.
6. Select "Uninstall a device" in the "Choose a Removal Task" window and press
Next.
7. Select "Show hidden devices" in the "Installed Devices on Your Computer"
window.
8. Scroll through the devices list to select "USB Composite Device" in the
"Installed Devices on Your Computer" window and press Next.
9. Select "Yes, I want to uninstall this device" in the "Uninstall a Device"
window and press Next.
10. Press Finish in the "Completing the Add/Remove Hardware Wizard" window.
11. Repeat items 3 till 10 to remove "Philips VGA Digital Camera;Video" and
"USB Audio Device".

Remark: If the Philips PC Camera is installed using the PCVC675k/PCVC680K
installation disk version 1.1 or 1.2 or it has been plugged in before
any other installation disk or the Vesta Web Update 1.4 has been
started on a Windows 2000 computer, an unknown hardware device called
"Composite USB Device" marked with an yellow exclamation mark will be
installed. To restore the system to be able to do a proper installation
or upgrade of the Philips PC Camera this device has to be removed as
described above in stead of "Philips VGA Digital Camera;Video
