No More VIA Lockups

The other day, GeForce FAQ posted a fix for instability issues while running AGP 4x on certain VIA chipsets. I have had these same problems on my A7V (KT133) board - lockups while browsing the web, using the scroll wheel on the mouse to name a few. I know someone else who has the same mobo and the exact same issues as I did.
Anyway, GeForce FAQ suggested changing the AGP drive strength values in the BIOS to correct some of these issues. I have tried this in the past, but with all the possible combinations, I never had any luck. Until Today. At first, I changed the values to E7 as they suggested and had no lockups, but the video was all torn to hell. I was getting MAJOR tearing in Half-Life and even the desktop was acting funky to say the least. My start button was nothing but a non-legible blob. I tried a few combos and tested each of them in HL and found A7 to work perfectly. Not a single tear, not a single lockup - nothing.
If anyone has these problems, give these settings a shot and let me know the results. I know there's a lot of A7V users out there. I should also state that I'm running the 1005D BIOS, Asus 7700 GeForce2 GTS 64MB (sidebanding enabled, fastwrites on), 1.2 GHz @ 1288 MHz, Win98 SE.
