[Vista] kan itunes-upgrade naar 8.0 niet downloaden*

Ik blijf problemen houden met iTunes 8.0; ik kan het niet downloaden op
mijn Dell notebook met Vista.

Als ik probeer de update te downloaden krijg ik steeds de volgende
foutmelding:
'Kan waarde niet schrijven naar
sleutel\Software\Classes\CLSID\{7a7FB085-6068-4898-8CCA-480A9187277C}.
Controleer of u voldoende toegangsrechten hebt voor deze sleutel, of neem
contact op met ondersteuningspersoneel'.

Ik ben ingelogd als administrator.

Als ik naar de Apple site ga om 8.0 te downloaden krijg ik de melding 'de
beveiligingsinstellingen' staan niet toe dat er gedownload wordt'.

Ik googelde het probleem, vond onderstaande, maar dit lost ook niets op:

Error 1406. Could not write value to key
\Software\Classes\.cdda\OpenWithList\iTunes.exe Verufy that you have
suffcient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. I am the
administrator!

I found the folling instructions to correct the problem:

Many people are having the same problem with error 1406. The solution
listed below worked for me. Try the following fix exactly as it is
outlined:

Start Menu -> Run. Type in "regedit" (this takes you to the registry Editor)
Find the heading HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Click on it.
Find the heading SOFTWARE inside it. CLick on it.
Find the heading Classes. Click on it
Find the heading .cdda. Click
Find the heading OpenWithList. click

Right click on "OpenWithList" folder. Select Permissions. Select Add
Button. Select the advanced button. Select "Find Now" button.
The "Find Now" button should list all of the users, Select the "everyone"
user. Hit OK. This closes this dialog. Hit OK in the dialog box now on
top. This closes this dialog.

On the Permissions for openwithList box now on top select "allow" checkbox
in the "full control" row & hit OK.

Do the exact same thing for the OpenWithProgids folder. Close regedit and
try the install again.

Dit werkt dus niet en tot overmaat van ramp kan ik nu ook iTunes 7.7 niet
meer openen.

Wat ik verder ook nog mis is of je uberhaupt geprobeerd hebt een losse 8.0 download te installeren als upgrade - dat lijkt mij toch wel een basic troubleshooting stap, toch?

ik kan hem via een andere website wel downloaden, alleen niet via Apple. hem los downloaden werkt dus niet.
