ssh lukt, rcp niet

ik wil een directory kopiëren van de server 'poseidon' naar een andere server 'newposeidon'.
Ik log in op de remote server via ssh, geen enkel probleem. Dan wil ik via rcp iets kopïeren...

De foutmelding dus :

En ik snap niet wat er mis is...

Ik neem aan dat de wachtwoorden voor de verschillende servers niet hetzelfde zijn? Of krijg je twee password prompts? Het lijkt erop dat hij het wachtwoord dat je in eerste instantie opgeeft ook wil gebruiken voor de tweede server. Of dat op de tweede server rootlogins uitstaan.

Gaat het wel goed als je van server1 naar lokaal kopieert, en dan van lokaal naar server2?

De wachtwoorden zijn op beide servers hetzelfde.
Maar dat zou geen rol mogen spelen, hij moet normaal gezien 2 maal om een paswoord vragen. Echter reeds bij het eerste paswoord loopt het fout.

Voor alle duidelijkheid :
ik ben lokaal ingelogd op newposeidon.
Ik meld me via ssh aan op poseidon. (dat lukt)
Vanop poseidon wil ik kopiëren naar newposeidon.

(newposeidon staat op m'n bureau, poseidon staat in de server-ruimte)

Je geeft nu twee remote locaties op, als je bent ingelogd op de nieuwe server kan (moet) je 2e parameter een lokaal pad zijn.

Inderdaad... bedankt, nu lukt het. Stom dat ik 2 maal inlog op dezelfde server....
