My Book en Linux

Beste medetweakers,

Ik beschik over de volgende configuratie:

Experiabox -> Clarkconnect (linux) server -> Linksys Router -> netwerk

Nu heb ik een My Book Essential 1TB aangeschaft en heb deze gekoppeld aan de Experiabox.
Ik wil de My Book gaan gebruiken als Backup.

De My Book is in het netwerk zichtbaar (ik kan hem benaderen vanaf mijn laptop).

Nu wil ik hem gaan mounten aan de server zodat ik kan backuppen.

Ik heb dit geprobeerd met mount -t ext3 //192.168.2.1/My_Book/backup /media/backup

Maar ik krijg een foutmelding.

Wie kan mij helpen.

ext3 moet smb zijn... Misschien is het interessanter om nfs te installeren?

Dat ligt natuurlijk aan die foutmelding..

Ik krijg nu de volgende foutmelding.

mount -t smb //192.168.2.1/My_Book/backup /media/backup
mount: bestandssysteem soort smb niet ondersteund door kernel

ik heb hier gewoon "apt-get -f install smbfs" gedaan werkt perfect. daarna deze site ff checken en dan ben je dr http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/165

anyway, welke ClarkConnect draai je ? 4.3 is net uit denk meld het je even

Ik draai nog versie 3.2, heb nog geen zin (en tijd gehad om alles te updaten)

Ik heb even een update van samba gedaan en krijg nu de volgende melding:

"mount -t smbfs //192.168.2.1/My_Book/backup /media/backup
Server's Role (logon server) conflicts with share-level security
Password:
16126: tree connect failed: ERRSRV - ERRinvnetname (Invalid network name in tree connect.)
SMB connection failed"

Ik begrijp hieruit dat er een gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord moet worden ingegeven.

Het commando
mount -t smbfs //root:******@192.168.2.1/My_Book/backup /media/backup
werkt ook niet of heb ik dit verkeerd?

OPTIONS
user=arg
specifies the username to connect as. If this is not given, then
the environment variable USER is used. This option can also take
the form "user%password" or "workgroup/user" or
"workgroup/user%password" to allow the password and workgroup to be
specified as part of the username.

Note
The cifs vfs accepts the parameter user=, or for users familiar
with smbfs it accepts the longer form of the parameter username=.
Similarly the longer smbfs style parameter names may be accepted as
synonyms for the shorter cifs parameters pass=,dom= and cred=.

password=arg
specifies the CIFS password. If this option is not given then the
environment variable PASSWD is used. If the password is not
specified directly or indirectly via an argument to mount,
mount.cifs will prompt for a password, unless the guest option is
specified.

Note that a password which contains the delimiter character (i.e. a
comma ´,´) will fail to be parsed correctly on the command line.
However, the same password defined in the PASSWD environment
variable or via a credentials file (see below) or entered at the
password prompt will be read correctly.

mount -t smbfs -o username=blub,password=bla
