According to cisco it means:


1. %CRYPTO-4-RECVD_PKT_MAC_ERR: decrypt: mac verify failed for connection id=[dec]

The MAC verify processing failed. This might be caused by the use of the wrong key by either party during the MAC calculations. This activity could be considered a hostile event.

Recommended Action: Contact the peer administrator.

Dit is alles wat ikerover vind bij cisco. Van iemand anders hoorde ik dat het ook eventueel een man in the middle attack kan zijn.

Hoe kan ik erachter komen wat voor "connection" die id 4774 is ?

Google hit op de melding:

Found this error message in a few bugs on Cisco's bug tracker. One
workaround, to disable fast switching (no ip route-cache) seems to have
done the trick.

ja maar ik weet natuurlijk niet of dit een bug is of niet :--)

Wat ik eigenlijk vooral wil weten hoe ik erachter kan komen wat die connection ID precies is, wat daar precies achter hangt
