Opensuse liep net te schreeuwen dat-ie updates had enzo.. naja zal wel..
dus ik gedaan, en hij deed beetje sloom.. dus ik denk, zal hem even rebooten...

fout, nu krijg ik alleen een wit scherm met cursor..
kan wel inloggen in tty enzo maar geen idee wat ik er verder moet :D (linuxnoob)

Trouwens met google wel gevonden dat het waarschijnlijk te maken heeft dat ik natuurlijk vergeten ben de ati-drivers te installeren.. maarrrr nergens te vinden hoe ik dat dan op moet lossen...


dus, iemand enig idee?

Net DVD der weer ingedrukt, repair gedaan.. wel wat dingen gerepaired.. maar mocht niet baten..
ook wou hij paar x verbinding maken met internet om wat andere updates te doen ofzo, maar hij kreeg geen verbinding..

ook van ATI, dus waarschijnlijk daarom dat het nog niet werkt..


wel heb ik nu als ik die soort van veilige modus opstart dat ik krijg van no screens found..
ook dat zag ik al paar x voorbij komen met google-en

Eventueel in je console met links (mits links geïnstalleerd is natuurlijk) de ati-drivers downloaden en die vanuit de console installeren. Andere optie is natuurlijk om (mits je die geïnstalleerd hebt) even tijdelijk de opensource ati-drivers in je xorg.conf in te stellen zodat je met de grafische interface de ati drivers opnieuw kunt installeren.

Ik heb van de week uiteindelijk maar gewoon opnieuw geinstalleerd omdat ik er toch nog niet veel op had staan en ik alleen beetje aan het proberen ben..


maarrrr..
nou had ik de ati-drivers geinstalleerd enzo.. en nu kreeg ik ipv een wit scherm een zwart scherm 8)7

Dus schiet lekker op...

Dan wordt waarschijnlijk je scherm niet goed aangestuurd. Ik heb hetzelfde probleem gehad en heb het opgelost door mijn xorg.conf aan te passen. Ik zit nu op mijn werk maar kan later vandaag je wel mijn xorg.conf d.m.v. DM toesturen mocht je daar interesse in hebben.

Ik heb een Samsung SyncMaster 226BW met ATI HD4850 kaart.

ik krijg die drivers met geen mogelijkheid geinstalleerd..
heb de tut die op opensuse.org staat al een paar x doorgelopen, maar hij blijft gebruik maken van die masa oid..

Die tutorial links laten liggen. Download de nieuwe drivers vanaf de ATi site en gebruik daar de linux installer van. Zie: https://a248.e.akamai.net...nux/linux_cat87-inst.html

Hierna heb ik dat aticonfig script gedraaid en mijn xorg.conf ietwat aangepast.

Aangezien je direct messages niet hebt aanstaan hieronder mijn /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Als ik het goed begrijp levert de fglrx driver (restricted ATI driver) een zwart scherm op, en de ati driver (opensource ATI driver) een wit scherm? Geef eens je Xorg.0.log in beide gevallen. En als je GPU ondersteund word kan je ook de radeonhd driver eens uitproberen.

Het is wel een oudere gpu.. ATI Mobility Radeon 9600..

had eerst geprobeerd de ati installer die op opensuse.org staat..
werkte niet.. toen via de ATI website de juiste driver gedownload en via die tut geinstalleeerd..


nu even niks mee gedaan omdat ik er even geen tijd voor heb, maar ga binnenkort even proberen! dankje

zou ik die config gewoon over kunnen nemen, of gaat hte dan ook geheid mis :D

ik heb nu die autoinstaller gedaan, maar als ik glxinfo doe, krijg ik nog steeds:
