[Vista] Terug plaatsen .wim na capture*

Ik heb hier een volledig geinstallerde vista enterprise machine (dus met alle nodige software, office...)
daarna gesysprepd.
Ik heb een WinPE cd gemaakt (via WAIK).
Ik start op met deze cd.
Na het opstarten kom ik in de prompt.
Daar ga ik naar de map waar imagex staat en geef het volgende in
imagex.exe /compress fast /capture c: c:\mijnimage.wim "mijn pc" /verify
Dan wordt die wim aangemaakt (zo'n 7 GB van de 18GB)
Dit kopieer ik dan naar een mobiele hd.
Vervolgens ga ik naar een andere pc, hang ik de mobiele hd eraan en start ik op met die WinPE cd.
Als hij opgestart is geef ik het volgende in
imagex /apply f:\mijnimage.wim 1 c: /verify
Dan zie je dat hij terugzet en heropstart.

MAAR dan: blijft hij daar staan, uren, een ogenblik geduld....................................
En het is gedaan. Wat zou er mis kunnen gaan????

Kijk gewoon eens in de logfiles? Wat heb je al ondernomen om dit op te lossen want daar zie ik totaal niks over terug.

Waar zou ik logs moeten terugvinden want ik moet de pc hardwarematig uitschakelen.

Als ik hem terug opstart dan zegt hij dat dat de computer onverwacht opnieuw opgestart is of een onverwachte fout is opgetreden. klik op ok om de computer opnieuw op te starten en start de windowsinstallatie opnieuw als u windows opnieuw wilt installeren.

Dus wat kan ik doen? Ik heb al verschillende malen die image hermaakt

Misschien omdat je niet dezelfde hardware hebt in beide PC's ?
Meestal vindt Windows dat niet zo leuk

het is zelfs op dezelfde pc dat ik dat gedaan heb.
(dus sysprep --> dan imagex zoals hierboven....-->imagex /apply..... --> ogenblik geduld.......)

Heb je 'm wel met sysprep generalized? Ik doe altijd "sysprep /generalize /oobe /shutdown"


En wat staat er nu in de logs van Windows dan? Shift+F10 tijdens deployment, de map C:\Windows\Panther bevat al je logs.

Ik heb op dezelfde manier m'n sysprep gedaan.

Zou het kunnen dat er iets mis is met de versie van sysprep???
Ik heb zo'n wim gemaakt zonder sysprep en dat kon ik wel terugzetten
Ik zit nu niet meer aan die machine, morgen zal ik die logs bekijken

Ik hoop niet dat je een andere dan de ingebouwde sysprep van Vista zelf, C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\Sysprep.exe hebt gebruikt anders is het heel erg logisch dat je nu dit soort problemen hebt

morgen m'n eerste werk

wanneer ik de op pc sysprep uitvoer en hem dan opnieuw laat opstarten , dan is het ok. Dan start hij terug op en zie je hem zich volledig terugzetten en na een tijdje is alles ok.
Maar als ik hem via die wim terugzet dan blijft hij haperen en staat hij daar "een ogenblik geduld"......
Dus blijkbaar is de sysprep in orde en is er iets mis met de capture of de apply....

Check de debuglogs zou ik zeggen, ik heb al eens aangegeven waar die staan. Check ook in de system32\sysprep\panther directory even. Het is wel de bedoeling dat je het zelf doet he

Voila, ik heb eens herbegonnen.
Een nieuwe vistacd en sp1 erop gestreamd.
Een pc geinstalleerd. Een .wim bestand gemaakt en op dezelfde pc teruggeplaatst.
Picobello, alles in orde.
Omdat ik er een aantal wens te doen wilde ik "Syspreppen".
Daar was het nu al gedaan! (onherstelbare fout....)

A fatal error occurred while running sysprep.

Additionally, an error message that resembles the following may be logged in the Setuperr.log file:

SYSPRP LaunchDll:Failure occurred while executing ‘C:\Windows\system32\msdtcprx.dll,SysPrepDtcCleanup’, returned error code -2146434815[gle=0x000000b7]

This error message is logged if you change the value of the following registry entry to 7:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\SysprepStatus

Heb je er wat aan?

Of kijk anders ff hier: An error message occurs when you run "Sysprep /generalize" in Windows Vista: "A fatal error occurred while trying to Sysprep the machine"

Edit:

P.S. ik had laatst ook een foutmelding tijdens sysprep /generalize /oobe.

Oplossing was: Delen uitschakelen in Windows Media Player 11

Houd er ook rekening mee dat je een image maar 3x mag generalizen. Als je meer resets nodig hebt voor tests, moet je even skiprearm=1 in je answerfile meegeven

Ik heb de voorgaande tips gevolgd. Ik moet zeggen dat het al een stuk langer duurde tegen dat ik de fout terugkreeg

Probeer dit eens:

1. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\Status\SysprepStatus
3. Right-click the GeneralizationState registry entry, click Modify, type 7 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
4. Run the following command at a command prompt:
msdtc -uninstall
5. Run the following command at a command prompt:
msdtc -install

Alles werkt op dezelfde computer.

Nu wil ik dat op een andere pc plaatsen, met dezelfde hardware, en na de apply doe ik een exit en de pc start opnieuw op.

Dan zegt hij "de computer wordt geconfigureerd, een ogenblik geduld"

Dit scherm blijft echter staan, zelfs na 2 uur

Als ik de pc opnieuw opstart zegt hij dat de pc onverwacht opnieuw is opgestart. Dan moet ik opnieuw opstarten en wil hij een installatie uitvoeren van windows. Dus blok.

Ik heb dan maar de c: geformateerd en een .wim teruggeplaatst.

En wonder boven wonder , dit werkte wel.

Dus blijkbaar zet een .wim niet een partitie terug (dacht ik) maar bestanden??

Dat zul je ook in de documentatie terugvinden, want het is idd een file-based image formaat, itt bijvoorbeeld Ghost wat elk bitje op de harde schijf in volgorde meepakt
