[office 2007] upgraden dmv group policy

Hallo Mensen,

Momenteel gebruiken we bij onze organisatie Office 2000.

Deze is handmatig geïnstalleerd destijds.

Nu wordt office 2007 uitgerold dmv een group policy op computer niveau.

Het automatiseren hiervan (accept eula etc / PID / etc.) gebeurt dmv de config.xml file.

Het enige probleem waar ik tegen aanloop is dat Office 2007 naast de bestaande office 2000 geïnstalleerd wordt, terwijl ik dus graag wil upgraden!

Kijk ik ergens verkeerd

Het kan niet. Als ik die doc mag geloven, want je hebt namelijk geen GPO van Office 2000.

Click OK.

Select Assigned to use the default options, or select Advanced to customize these options. The Published option is disabled because you cannot publish Office to a user.

In the details pane, right-click the Windows Installer package that will function as the upgrade (not the package to be upgraded).

Click Properties and click the Upgrades tab.

Click Add to create or add to the list of packages that are to be upgraded by the current package.

Under Choose a package from, click Current Group Policy object (GPO) or A specific GPO as the source of the package to be upgraded. If you click A specific GPO, click Browse, and click the GPO that you want to use.

Click the package for the previous version of Office that you want to upgrade.

Click Uninstall the existing package, then install the upgrade package.

Close all dialog boxes.

Als ik de setup handmatig draai kan ik wel upgraden, dus dan moet het ook geautomatiseerd kunnen.

Het lijkt me natuurlijk logisch dat je handmatig kunt upgraden. Maar als je wilt dat het automatisch moet gebeuren, dan moet je GPO van die Office 2000 hebben om te kunnen upgraden.

Ik loop nu tegen hetzelfde aan.
Nog iets gevonden, of ben je alle pc's afgegaan om office 2000 te deinstalleren ?

Het kan inderdaad wel.

In de link die TS in startpost geeft, staat precies beschreven hoe je bestaande office versies moet upgraden.Hieronder nog een quote ervan.

Je moet wel eerst een Office 2007 installation point hebben voordat je dit kan uitvoeren.Hier vind je hoe je zo'n network installation point kan maken voor Office 2007

To upgrade Office using Group Policy-based Software Installation
1.Open Group Policy Management console. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Administrative Tools, and click Group Policy Management.
2.In the console tree, double-click Group Policy Objects in the forest and domain that contain the GPO that you want to edit. This is located in Forest name, Domains, Domain name, Group Policy Objects.
3.Right-click the GPO you want to modify and click Edit. This opens Group Policy Object Editor.
4.In the left pane of Group Policy Object Editor, expand the Computer Configuration tree.
5.In the left pane, expand Software Settings and select Software Installation.
6.Right-click in the right pane, point to New and click Package.

Dit had je zelf toch ook wel kunnen vinden!

Ik denk dat de vraag ook meer is of de handmatige installatie ook automagisch verwijderd wordt met de juiste config xml als je 'm via een GPO uitrolt.

Het verhaal van Grolsch lijkt erop te wijzen dat de uninstall/upgrade zelf niet goed gaat, het installeren van 2007 wel.

misschien heb je hier wat aan, hier hebben ze replace gebruikt ipv upgrade.

Ik ben er nooit uitgekomen.
Het artikel wat hierboven vermeld wordt gaat over upgraden van 2003>2007.
Ik wilde van 2000>2007, en dat moest dus echt handmatig.

Wat je ook kunt doen via een script office 2000 deinstalleren en dan 2007 er overheen gooien.
Hoef je alleen 1 keer alle computers aan te zetten, daarna het script verwijderen van de server en dan office naar de clients pushen.

Zou goed kunnen, hier kun je je guid id voor je office installatie opzoeken. mits je op alle clients dezelfde versie hebt geinstalleerd zijn ze overal hetzelfde, en zou je deze methode kunnen gebruiken.
