Hi people,

First of all I am no sort of spammer :) I have never been in my life.
But, last Friday, suddenly I received an email from KPN Abuse Desk (KPN-Cert). It was containing the following message and some more instructions to follow about removing viruses and so on:

Geachte heer/mevrouw,

- Het versturen van ongewenste spam e-mails naar andere gebruikers op
het internet.

Uit de kenmerken van de melding trekken wij de conclusie dat uw systeem

beveiligd netwerk aanwezig is.

I checked the KPN-Cert blacklist on http://blacklist.kpn-cert.nl/bailout and I found that my IP is in quarantine and listed on the black list with code 17 and I can not automatically bail out! I found no information about Code 17 on their website, however there is information about other codes (2 to 15).
I contacted the KPN Help Desk by phone (0900 244), it was useless and they said that they can not help me, basically they did not know what to do and they said that this KPN-Cert is a separated department, reachable only by email and I have to contact this KPN-Cert directly by email to get an answer.

Well, so on Saturday I followed the virus removal instruction in the email and found no virus/malware on my PC. So I contacted the KPN-Cert and answered their email and explained that I have found no problem on my computer.

I have received no answer from them and no reaction. Any idea what I should do to clear my IP from this list?! Do you know if it usually takes much more time for them to answer the emails and react?
My IP is still in quarantine and i can visit only KPN website and google and kpn-cert website.

Any suggestion?

Thanks,
\Rouzbeh

Do you has running an mailserver with open relay.? And what is the result of a portscan on port 25? And do you have an WiFi connection which is not secured or protected with WEP-encryption?

And this is a Dutch forum. You can better try to post your messages in the Dutch language.. ;)
