Laptop met extern 22 inch scherm

Het probleem
Recent heb ik een nieuw scherm aan mijn laptop hangen. Een Philips 220AW/8.

Deze is aangesloten op een toshiba laptop met een geintregeerde intel 82852/82855 GM/GME beeldschermadapter.

Ik kan de volgende resoluties selecteren: 800*600, 1024*768, 1280*1024, 1400*1050, 1600*1200, 1920*1440, 2048*1536.

De standaard (native) resolutie van 1680*1050 zit er niet bij en dit is iets wat ik wel wil, de native resolutie draaien!

Zelf gedaan
Philips monitor driver geïnstalleerd.

Huidige intel adapter driver komt uit 2003, dus driver geupdate naar nieuwste versie uit 2006. Resolutie staat er niet tussen, wel een andere nieuwe resolutie 1440*900.

Andere driver geprobeert uit 2005. Geen resultaat.

Driver van andere chipset (945GM) geprobeert, geen resultaat.

Powerstrip geprobeert. Wil ook niet goed werken. Krijg het niet voor elkaar. Wordt volgens mij ook niet gesupport op intel chips voor de GMA series.

Dus
Heeft iemand een gouden tip om het beeldscherm toch te laten draaien op 1680*1050?

Waarschijnlijk snap je Videokaart deze resolutie niet en kan hij deze niet wergeven.. Komt vaker voor bij ouder Videokaarten die op een groter scherm worden gedraaid.

Wat je zou kunnen proberen is om de alle modi te weergeven mischien staat daar je resolutie wel op..

Maar welke onboard intel kaart hebben je in je laptop?

Ik heb dezelfde chipset, alleen heb ik wel de keuze uit meer resoluties. Alleen idd niet die 1680x1050.

Misschien kun je nog het volgende proberen, GEHEEL OP EIGEN RISICO.

Abstract:
Monitor resolution, color depth, and refresh rate available in the Display Properties are defined per the drivers for the video card. From there PnP or the system administrator may limit higher options that the monitor does not support to prevent accidentally changing a setting that may potentially damage a monitor or force the monitor to turn off to protect the hardware. The driver for the video card generally only sets standard 4:3 resolutions (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, etc.) and doesn’t normally set 16:9 resolutions (800x450, 1024x576, 1280x720, etc. ) or 16:10 resolutions (800x500, 1280x800,1680x1050, etc.).

This document describes the process of defining a custom resolution within Windows and can be used to define the native resolution for a monitor that does not natively display a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Access Requirements:
You must have Administrator access to the machine to make these changes.

Procedure:

1. Click on Start, then Run
2. Type in regedit in the Open box, then hit [Enter]
3. Expand down to HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\System\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\VIDEO\{Hexadecimal number for your primary video card}\0000
* Note: Under VIDEO will be one or more registry keys that have a long hexadecimal number; this is the Hexidecimal number assigned to a specific physical or logical video card. There may be more than one if video cards have been changed or a major driver update has been performed. The key that has the current setting should be the one that needs to be modified.
4. Double-click DefautlSettings.XResolution, change the Base from Hexadecimal to Decimal notation, and set the X axis.
5. Double-click DefautlSettings.YResolution, change the Base from Hexadecimal to Decimal notation, and set the Y axis.
6. Reboot

* Note: If settings did not take effect, modify a different video card in the registry
* Note: If monitor ceases to function upon Windows coming up, reboot and go to Safe Mode. Pull up the registry and change the settings that were last modified back to the way it was or change the resolution to a safe resolution such as 640x480.

To_Tall : Die had ik ook gevonden, de driver werkt wel, alleen de resolutie staat er niet bij.

Krusher : Helaas dit werkt ook niet... stond op 800*600, veranderd naar 1680*1050, maar geen effect.

Nog iemand een tip om 1680*1050 te forceren?

Ik heb vandaag een 22" scherm gehaald, en had ook dezelfde problemen, maar na het installeren van de bijbehorende display driver, en de nieuwe chipsetdriver draai ik nu de native mode 1680x1050. Het zit iig niet in de chipset want die kan het aan.
