Probleem met geluid

Ik zit met een klein probleem.
Ik heb de game pc van de best buy guide van november besteld en gebouwd, maar dan met een Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer ipv Xtreme Music en Vista Home Premium 64 als OS.
Het probleem is alleen dat ik, als ik game, een krakend geluid krijg uit de speakers. Ik heb even wat rondgezocht op internet en het er met iemand op irc over gehad. Die raadde me aan eens een game te spelen met 3gb geheugen erin ipv 4. Als ik dit doe doet m'n geluid het prima, maar dit is dus niet echt een oplossing.
Die gozer op irc gaf me eigenlijk maar 3 opties:

1) Een moederbord met een intel chipset nemen ipv nForce. Maar dat zou dan betekenen dat ik m'n SLi kwijtraak
2) Maar 3gb geheugen ipv. 4 gebruiken. Maar dan loopt Crysis lang zo vloeiend niet...
3) Een andere geluidskaart nemen. Maar dan kan ik geen gebruik maken van EAX.

Mijn vraag is nu, zijn dit echt de enige 3 opties? Ze bevallen me namelijk allemaal niet echt
Of is er nog iets anders aan te doen?

Het zou misschien aan aansluitingen kunnen liggen of aan specifiek jouw geluidskaart, je zou eens kunnen kijken of het wel werkt met een andere geluidskaart of andere speakers, als het aan je geluidskaart ligt stuur je hem gewoon rma

Een andere geluidskaart gaat niet lukken, ik heb geen andere liggen. Andere speakers (een headset) hebben hetzelfde effect.
Hier is trouwens een log van het irc convo dat ik over het probleem had, dat verduidelijkt m'n probleem misschien een beetje.

Zo heilig is EAX toch niet?
Neem toch een andere geluidkaart, ben je in ieder geval van dit probleem af.

Dan ga ik dat denk ik maar doen.

Dit moet je uiteraard helemaal zelf weten, maar ik leef al jarenlang zonder EAX. Voor mijn gevoel is EAX enkel een leuk toevoeginkje, geen basisbehoefte. Misschien dat het voor jou heel anders is omdat je al veel langer met EAX gamet (is dit goed gespeld?) en er dus aan gewend bent.
