My Semi-Annual Antepenultimate Post

Well my bretheren... another year overtakes us.

I try not to post often - but what I post is -- I hope worth reading. If not - that's fine too... my ego will carry me through it if it is not. (insert humor here - regardless of language)

We continue to fall behind in production for DPAD. Only some 172 users are actually submitting results. Anandtech (astonishingly enough) appears to be headed for the #1 spot - thanks to Johan, who has somehow single-handedly assimilated every processor in South Africa. Great job Johan!

He's a good guy - and interestingly enough... I recruited him. Perhaps that will be my only claim to fame. I'm the one who got "amd.borg" to join DPAD. Still - the project rocks. Stephen is truly a magnificent fellow that (at this point) I feel rather pleased to call my friend. Quite a nice young lad.

I'd like to wish all my brothers of the DPC a very happy New Year! I wish I could be with you celebrating, but there are many thousands of miles between us. I am certainly with you in spirit.

Time to ramp up - and put those cycles on DPAD... Beautiful job by DeApen for the past couple of days. My congratulations - for a HUGE effort. : )

Even though you don't post here often, it's always nice to read from you in here. Occasionally I take a quick peak at the DPAD stats, to see if you're still there. Seeing your name there makes me a bit happy again, knowing why you came to DPC in the first place. It's good to know you still like it in here, and of course I wish you all the best for this year as well.

I think I can say that the feeling is all mutual Dan, especially for the somewhat older cows, like myself, in here. Have a great year and hopefully we'll see you around when we stop Team Anandtech from claiming that, which is rightfully ours

Hi Dan,

Its always good to hear from you every once in a while.
DPAD has been a great project for us, and as you stated Stephen is doing a great job in running this project almost singlehandedly.

But as with most good things, they come to an end, DeApen are considering switching to another project, whichone is still up in the air. But there is a good change that we will switch.
If DPC's position will get threatened, we will lend a hand, but i think the might of Anandtech is no match for DPC's powerrr. DeApen are just a small team and can only do so much.
