[Azureus] crasht na starten op msvcrt.dll

Sinds vandaag kan ik Azureus niet meer gebruiken. Het programma sluit zichzelf direct af na opstarten. Volgens de log komt dit door het bestandje "msvcrt.dll". Na wat zoekwerk kwam ik erachter dat dit gebruikt wordt door Windows Defender. Nu had ik net een update binnengehaald van Defender, dus het zou kunnen dat die iets veranderd heeft. Dus heb ik Defender van mijn pc verwijderd. Na rebooten nog steeds zelfde probleem met Azureus. Ik heb ook geprobeerd handmatig het .dll bestand uit de Windows32 map te verwijderen, maar dat gaat niet. Renamen is me wel een keer gelukt, maar na rebooten is het bestandje vrolijk opnieuw aangemaakt! Nu vraag ik me af of ik kan zien welke applicatie verantwoordelijk is voor dit bestandje, en of er een manier is om te zorgen dat Azureus er niet op crasht.

Ook een verse installatie van de nieuwe Azureus Vuze crasht direct op genoemde dll-file.
Ook Java gecheckt en ik heb de nieuwste versie.

I'm running a Java WebStart application in my WinXP SP2.

Access violation sometimes occurs in MSVCRT.dll as shown below:

This smells like a bug in the native code of the specified package (or in the DLL that is being called...). I would search around google to see if other people have the same problem.

I would really appreciate any pointers.

Many GUI problems like this are usually traced to a specific video driver and video card. And just for fun sometimes the font being used causes it as well.


Zoek eens met google.nl met "MSVCRT.dll+java"

Probeer eens java te verwijderen en laatste versie installeren.
Of tijdelijk een andere programma gebruiken, vermoedelijk moet er iets geupdate worden.

Ik kan me niet herinneren dat ik iets met Visual Basic zou hebben op mijn pc..

Hoe kan ik zien welke versie van het msvcrt.dll bestand ik heb? Uit die tekst zou namelijk blijken dat het alleen bij bepaalde versies is.

Ik ben weer wat wijzer geworden.

Volgens dit en dit artikel van Microsoft, kan er een probleem opdoen bij een versienummer van het dll-bestand hoger dan 7.0 of bij een verkeerde versie.
Nu heb ik even gecontroleerd, en inderdaad ik heb versie 7.0.2600.2180 van MSVCRT.dll in mijn System32 mapje staan. Blijkbaar is dit door een bepaald programma aangepast of geupdate (wellicht Windows Defender).

Nu zoek ik een manier om dit bestand te vervangen door een andere versie, maar hoe doe ik dat?
Ik het artikel van Microsoft staat alleen beschreven hoe het moet voor Windows 95, 98 en Millennium.
