[Vista] Fonts zijn in meerdere apps veranderd

Ik draai sinds de lancering een originele versie van Windows Vista Ultimate. Opzich redelijk tevreden. Gisteren startte ik mijn PC op en wat bleek? Mijn fonts in meerdere applicaties zijn veranderd. En echt ontzettend lelijk geworden.

De mainfont van Vista is opeens Arial. Net als dat in Photoshop. Iemand enig idee hoe dit komt en vooral hoe ik dit op kan lossen?

Geen rare progjes geinstalleerd? Want ik ken dit verschijnsel voornamelijk als windows te weinig geheugen/resources heeft. Of iemand heeft gewoon je font directory gewist

Nee, ik heb geen rare programma's geïnstalleerd. Ik gebruik deze computer vooral zakelijk. En de fonts directory staat ook nog keurig op zijn plaats met alle fonts er in.

Change Windows fonts

Applies to all editions of Windows Vista.
Which edition of Windows Vista am I using?

You can change the font in any part of Windows (for example, menus). Changing a Windows font does not change your program fonts.


1.

Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Window Color and Appearance. If the Appearance Settings dialog box is not displayed, at the bottom of the page, click Open classic appearance properties.
2.

Click Advanced.
3.

In the Item list, click the part of Windows where you want to change the font. For example, if you want to change the menu font, click Menu in the list.
4.

In the Font list, click the font you want to use.
5.

In the Size list, click the font size that you want.
6.

In the Color list, click the font color you want.
7.

Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each part of Windows where you want to change the font, its size, and its color, and then click OK.

Helaas. Dat werkt alleen voor Windows. Ik kan niet de fonts van iTunes en FireFox op deze manier instellen. Zit er geen font repair in Windows Vista?

Kun je niet een ander thema selecteren, en daarna weer terug naar het standaard Vista-thema?

Voor zover ik weet worden dan alle fonts naar hun standaard waarden teruggezet, tenzij je speciefiek de fonts van bepaalde applicaties hebt aangepast, maar ik begrijp dat dát niet het geval is...
