Generals game.dat crash probleem?

Oude spellen zijn ideaal voor af en toe es een lan game te doen en met dat idee in m'n hoofd ben ik vol enthousiasme command and conquer generals beginnen installeren. Eerst volledig gepatcht en met zero hour, maar dat game gaf het startscherm en dan kwam de melding dat game.dat niet reageerde. Ok, effe herinstalleren enkel generals dit keer, maar hetzelfde probleem! En op m'n andere pc met xp komt hetzelfde probleem voor, dus het kan niet aan vista liggen.

Iemand nog gehoort van een dergelijke probleem en liefst met een oplossing?

Why does the game create the 'game.dat.exe' error?

This is caused by your game not being patched. Please log onto the Multiplay portion of the game and the patch will be installed. If you cannot, for some reason, automatically get the patch, you can get it manually.

To manually download the patch, visit the General's Patch list or General's patch page. From there, you can download the patch and execute it from your Desktop.

After installing the patch manually, you may have to delete the Options.ini file.

Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
Select My Documents.
Double-click the Command and Conquer Generals or Zero Hour Data folder (whichever you are updating).
Delete the Options file.
Restart the game.
Also make sure the patch folder is empty after patching is done.

Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar.
Select My Computer.
Doucle-click the C: drive.
Double-click Program Files.
Double-click the Command & Conquer Generals or Zero Hour folder.
Double-click patches. (Make sure this folder is empty.)

Hoop dat dit je probleem oplost.

Ook veel problemen worden verholpen door de options.ini te wissen.

Wel blijkbaar stond de prioriteit op hoog, ik heb ze nu op normaal gezet en het werkt. Bedankt iedereen!
