[MagicTune ism Vista] Monitor change detected

Ik weet niet goed in welk forum ik deze moet plaatsen, maar vermits ik nooit problemen had onder windows xp, vermoed ik dat het meer te maken heeft met de windows client.

Sinds kort heb ik Windows Vista Ultimate geinstalleerd staan. Ik loop echter tegen een probleempje aan. Ik heb een samsung 971p scherm. Om deze te calibreren heb ik magictune geinstalleerd. Dit werkt goed, echter als ik de pc opnieuw opstart (of als de pc terug komt uit sleep mode) dan krijg ik een foutmelding van magictune: "Monitor Change has been detected, press OK to refresh UI". Als ik dan op OK druk krijg ik volgende foutmelding: "This Computer System does not support MagicTune. Click the OK button and click on the "Goto MagicTune Web Site" Button to refer to the Home Page" waarna mijn instellingen weg zijn en ik opnieuw kan beginnen calibreren. Bijzonder irritant natuurlijk

Ik heb op de website van Samsung al lopen zoeken of dit een bekend probleem is, maar kan er niets over terug vinden. Google geeft geen enkele hit op Samsung + "monitor change has been detected, press ok to refresh ui"

Ik heb via de website van Samsung deze vraag gesteld, maar dat is alweer ruim een week geleden en ik heb nog steeds geen reactie terug gekregen. Heeft iemand enig idee waar dit aan kan liggen?

ATI x700 pro
Samsung 971p aangesloten via DVI
Windows Vista Ultimate
MagicTune Premium Version 2.0.12 2007.05.03

niemand die deze problemen heeft? Het begint me zo langzamerhand gek te maken!

Ik ga morgen ook eens bellen naar de helpdesk van Samsung. Moesten zij een oplossing hebben, dan laat ik het hier ook weten natuurlijk..

k heb hetzelfde probleem "Monitor change detected" als ik opnieuw opstart. Vista icm een Samsung 206BW. klik altijd maar op OK, andere keuze heb ik trouwens ook niet.

Ik heb daarnet gebeld naar Samsung, en ze hebben er nog nooit van gehoord. Hun reactie: "het ligt aan je pc..." Mja, ok, dankje....

Ik heb vannacht ook een mailtje terug gekregen op mijn vraag aan Samsung:
Magictune is closely related to graphic card and most of problems are happening mainly by using old version of Graphic Card driver and old version of Magictune.

Therefore in order to find the reason of your problem, your system needs to be checked as to the following instruction which is the general step to check a problem by Magictune. Please check your system as to the following items before everything.

1. Please check whether the monitor is connected directly to the system(PC).(there should not be any device between the monitor and system(PC))

2. Please check whether monitor is recognized as "Plug and Play" by checking at

->Control Panel->Systems->Hardware->Device Manager->Monitor

3. Please check the version of your graphic card driver and install the latest version of Graphic card driver from the Graphic Card company web site.

4. Please try the latest MagicTune Premium v2.0.13(for windows VISTA 32 bit) or v2.0.07(for windows VISTA 64bit). Updated version solved some compatibility problems and functions which customers had inconvenience.

You should uninstall previous MagicTune completely and reboot again before installing updated MagicTune.

5. Please find "User Account Control" of Windows Vista, and disable the function when you use MagicTune. If you disable "User Account Control" function, MagicTune could work properly.
