Ik heb hier ondertussen ~3kwart jaar een XS4ALL usb telefoon liggen, ooit 's getest, werkte niet direct en is de kast in gegaan, maar wou 'm toch nog 's echt proberen.

Eigenlijk is het een Hantat HA-5251 - http://www.hantat.com/b_proview.php?id=43&number=01 (heb de witte, mat XS4ALL logo erop)

dmesg geeft veel info :P

Nah, generic, zou moeten werken dus, niet bepaald.

Er zit een USB HID bij, dat zijn waarschijnlijk de knopjes, maar...
Ik krijg netjes een input/event4 toegewezen, maar daar komt precies 0 op binnen als ik knoppen in druk.

Lijkt niet echt op de knoppen op de phone zelf.

Audio lijkt het verder wel prima te doen, al ben ik er nog niet achter hoe ik de 'ring' speaker moet gebruiken.

Nah, verbose is ie zeker ;)

Intern zitten er 3 grotere chips in:
- Via ac'97 audio codec ding (vt1612a).
- Tofine? Max811-02b, hier hangt de usb aan, google kent 'm niet.
- EM78P156, blijkbaar een microcontroller

Bord heeft verder als markings:
- 20060417 (zal productiedatm zijn oid)
- HA-5251 (is het type)
- fcc/ce/hantat logo's
- mcv901-02a (staat er 2x, geen idee wat het betekent)

Heb zelf kernel 2.6.15-gentoo-r1 usb HID support zit er gewoon in.

Dus hoe gaan die knopjes werken (en minder boeiend, de led/ring speaker, die zitten denk ik ergens op een gpio van iets, komt wel verder)

Ok, ik heb vandaag geupdate naar 2.6.21.

Krijg 3 leuke event interfaces erbij, mijn powerknop heeft er 2 ipv 0 en de andere ging naar js0.

Maar de knoppen op mijn usb phone doen het nog steeds niet helaas.

Het zou best eens kunnen dat die handset een initialisatie slag moet doen. Dus dat er na connecten eerst iets naar die handset gestuurd wordt waarna de knoppen wel iets gaan doen.
Maar dat is een wilde gok :P

Dat denk ik niet helemaal, het lijkt alsof de USB-HID driver misbruikt wordt om communicatie met de ingebouwde microcontroller (waar in ieder geval de buzzer en de standby led aan hangt, en naar het lijkt ook de toetsen)

Probleem is dat ik geen datasheet van de controller kan vinden. Heb ondertussen de 'driver' uitgepakt.

De driver is een userspace app wat cummuniceerd met skype en verder zit erbij:
- 16 wav's voor alle dtmf codes.
- 9 .bin files, wat die doen is me nog niet heel erg duidelijk.
- Een paar dll's, 1 lijkt me intressant (SnxHIDCtrl.dll)
- Wat icoontjes en een .ini
