[WMP] sommige liedjes wel en sommige niet

Hey,

Ik heb sinds vanmiddag een probleem: mijn mediabibliotheek in WMP bevat zo'n 100 gekochte CD's die ik omgezet heb in WMA (via WMP) en ik heb daar nu een hele collectie van. Maar sinds vanmiddag zijn er bepaalde CD's (kan er geen rode draad in zien welke wel en welke niet) die niet afspelen. Ik krijg dan de foutcode

en die verwijst naar link http://www.microsoft.com/...id=71&originalid=80070057
Zou iemand me kunnen vertellen hoe dit komt? Ook die bepaalde bestanden openen via verkenner zelf lukt ook niet, bij de andere liedjes wel!
Wanneer ik deze liedjes op USB stick verplaats naar een andere PC lukt het afspelen wel!

heb je die link naar microsoft wel doorgelezen of moet iemand hier dat voor je doen? daar staat wel het een en ander, dus ik ben op zijn minst nieuwsgierig of hun aanbevelingen iets hebben geholpen.

1e puntje: geupdate, maar helpt niet
2e puntje: jawel want andere liedjes spelen wel
3e puntje: idem als hierboven
4e puntje: nee ik speel het local
5e puntje: heb ik al eens geprobeerd maar lukte ook niet, ik had alle ID3 headers gewist maar nog geen oplossing

So if you are experiencing a different problem this solution might not work
for you. But I am sure it will work on most cases like mine.

The crux of the problem is that in my computer the DRM subsystem does not
trust the audio devices so it refuses to play protected content. It took me
a while to find the origin of the mistrust. In first place my sound drivers
were signed by microsoft nonetheless! so that should take care of that issue
no?

Wrong, it turns out that most important than having signed drivers is to
have the Operating System actually enforcing that! If the OS does not force
the audio drivers to be signed the DRM system will not play protected music
(even though your drivers are signed).

So lo and behold, my windows vista was shipped from the factory with the
signing checking disable. I guess that the reason is that most of the drivers
out there are still unsigned (because of the recent release) so the OEMs
prefer to disable the checking to make sure that a lot of old hardware still
works.

The registry entry that controls wheter or not windows vista enforces signed
audio drivers is in the following path (use regedit to examine/change it).

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Audio

And the entry is called

DisableProtectedAudioDG


When it is set to 1, the system does not check for signed drivers and the
protected content refuses to play.

So I only changed the value to 0, and restarted windows, now Vista does
enforce the protected audio and my protected music plays !!! (my normal music
also plays).

Be careful though, if your audio drivers are not signed, then, changing this
value to 0 will probably disable your music playback (not 100%).

So if your problem is that you don't get music at all, then try setting that
to 1, but if your problem is like mine (no protected music and you do have
signed drivers) then set the value to 0.

voorzover ik het begrijp heeft het iets te maken met het afspelen van drm-content op wmp 11, kan dat bij jou ook kloppen?

Good news is that I was able to resolve the problem (for now anyway) by
doing the following: (1) go to
http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp and (2) Restart.
That Microsoft site checked my DRM components and updated them (even though
Windows Update previously said that "Windows is up to date"). I suspect that
something in the weekly Microsoft Tuesday Update (nite before my problem
appeared) caused the problem.

Ik heb die link geprobeerd te openen (ik vermoed dat dit wel eens de oplossing kunnen zijn voor mijn probleem) maar in IE 7.0 krijg ik dan 'error on the page' links onder en een waarschuwingssymbool naast 'Done' dus ik kan niet op update klikken!
