[2003] Client tijd syncroniseren met terminal server

Wij hebben meerdere terminal servers draaien, maar nu wil een klant van ons graag dat zodra hij inlogt vanuit het buitenland inlogt op de terminal server. De tijd van zijn lokale pc meegenomen wordt. Dus wanneer hij op de server werkt, hij rechtsonder de juiste tijd ziet en niet de nederlandse tijd.

Nu hebben wij dit gevonden:

Time Zone A RDC client computer can provide its time zone to the server, or
users can manually set their own time zones. This enables an administrator to use one server for multiple users across different time zones. It’s also helpful for applications that support features such as calendars. Note This feature is off by default, because it relies on a properly-set time zone on the client computer.

Windows 2003 time zone redirection
Windows Server 2003 allows client computers to redirect their time zone settings to the Terminal Server so that users see the correct time for their time zone in their desktop/application sessions. Terminal Services uses the server base time on the Terminal Server and the client time zone information to calculate the time in the session. This feature may be useful if you have clients in different time zones.

By default, this feature is disabled. To enable the feature on a Windows 2003 Server:

Either:
start the Microsoft Group Policy Management Console; or
start an empty Microsoft Management Console and add the Group Policy Object Editor snap-in.
Select the group policy object you want to edit.
Click Computer configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, Terminal Services, Client/Server Data Redirection.
Open Allow Time Zone Redirection.
Click Enabled.
Click OK.
Changes to this setting only apply to new Windows Terminal Server sessions.
