So slow....

info:
M2N32SLI de Luxe Wireless edition
X2 4200 Processor
2 Gb Memory
WD 200 Mb HD Sata2
SS 320 Mb HD Sata2
2 Nec DVD writer Sata

When i copy 2 GB (in one file) From Disk A to B : about 70 Mb/s
When i copy 2 x 2 GB (in one file) From Disk A to B : about 8 Mb/s
So... when i copy simultanious files from Disk A to B, the harddisk performance is very slow.
When i burn 1 dvd at 8 x speed. the burning time is about 9 minutes.
When i burn 2 dvd's at 8 x speed. the burning time is about 30 minutes.
So... when i burn simultanious 2 DVD's, the harddisk performance is very slow.

I used the latest drivers an the latest bios and now a little desperated....

who has the same issue and who can help me???

I think your chipset is blocking. Maybe you're using PIO-mode instead of DMA-mode? You should check that first, you are running Windows XP I assume

@hieronder: hmmz, ja goeie vraag zou ik ook ff niet weten, zie nu dat het sata is. Maar volgens mij zijn ze wel geinstalleerd, want ik denk niet dat hij zonder drivers een windows-setup kan laden met dat mobo. Over die virusscanner, bij het branden van cd's?

Heeft sata2 wel pio en dma? Dat weet ik niet

Zijn de chipset drivers geinstalleerd?
Is er een virusscanner actief die eventueel alle files aan het scannen is tijdens de copieeractie?

Als hij in EN post moet hij niet raar opkijken als hij in EN antwoord krijgt. Boeit eigenlijk weinig of het een NL'er is, een anderszins non-EN native speaker of gewoon de ergste analfabeet van dat eiland waar ik vandaan kom, non-NL topicstarts zijn fout en inzetloze topicstarts zijn fout, dit is beide.
