[kubuntu] TV-out werkt niet. ATI X1250. Feisty - Linux en overige clients

Gebruik de ATI driver 8.37.6. Deze is zelf goed geïnstalleerd. "Zelfs" OpenGL ondersteuning aan de praat gekregen.
Heb voor de TV-out instellingen van alles geprobeerd. Veel voorbeelden bekeken en over genomen, maar dat wil helaas niet helpen.

Zelfs de ATI Control panel gebruikt. Deze ziet de TV prima als ik hem inplug, maar direct enabelen gaat gewoonweg niet, als ik X opnieuw start, dan kom ik er hoe dan ook niet meer in.

Zolang de TV-out niet aangesloten is kom ik met zowel de control panel instellingen als allemaal eigen varianten en voorbeelden die zouden moeten werken gewoon perfect in X. Als ik de tv-out inplug en X wil starten, krijg ik steeds dezelfde melding.

Het gaat om een ASUS M2A-VM HDMI moederbord met AMD 690G chipset en dus een ATI X1250 onboard, met tvout/composite out/hdmi out.

Ik heb ook al geprobeerd de algemene resolutie naar 800x600 te zetten. Maar wilde helaas ook niet baten.

Klinkt in mijn oren alsof hij gewoon geen idee heeft hoe hij met de tv-out om moet gaan... maar ik heb geen idee waar dit aan kan liggen.

Hij zeurt er ook over dat de optie "MonitorLayout" niet meer gebruikt wordt. Verander dat eens in(bijv.) Option "DesktopSetup" "vertical"
Op die manier wordt het beeld ook niet meer gekloond over beide schermen, maar naast elkaar geplant.

Standaard Pal-resolutie is trouwens 720x576...
