Descent 2 op Windows XP

Hallo allemaal,

Ik wil graag weer eens Descent 2 op Xp spelen maar dat gaat nogal moeilijk en ik loop nu vast. dus ik hoop dat iemand mij kan helpen.
Het moet onder dos geinstaleerd worden maar dat geeft ook al een probleem.
Ik heb dosbox 0.70 geprobeerd heb de cdrom gemount dan wil ik hem installeren en dan geeft dosbox aan dat ik geen ruimte heb, omdat hij ook geen harde schijf aangeeft.
Waar en hoe kan ik dat veranderen zodat dosbox wel een harde schijf ziet want ik heb er genoeg waar die uit kan kiezen.

Of een andere optie binnen XP om dat spel te draaien.

Mijn dank is groot als iemand de oplossing weet, want ik snap het niet meer.

It can be very difficult to install Descent 2 in Windows XP. Therefore, here is the precise method:

Install Descent 2 from the CD-ROM (maximum). If the automatic installation causes trouble or the autoplay function of CDs is disabled, you should use the install.exe on the CD-ROM. However, it may be necessary that you click it with your right mouse button and choose the compatibility mode for Windows 95 in “Properties”!
Don’t set up the sound at the end of the installation!
Copy Patch 1.2 into the Descent 2 directory (e.g. c:\games\Descent2). Then execute it.
Copy the files of D2X-XL into the Descent 2 directory. You can also use D2X-Rebirth.
Start Descent 2 with the d2x-xl.exe respectively d2x-rebirth.exe!
On very fast PCs it may happen that the installation of Descent 2 does not start at all. This occurs quite often in Windows XP. In this case you should copy all files of the folders CONTROLS and D2DATA from CD into a directory on your hard disk (e.g. c:\games\Descent2). Then extract the DESCENT2.SOW in that directory with Winrar. After that, proceed with item 3 of the above installation instruction!

In Dosbox moet je ook een map van je systeem mounten als c-schijf. Met een dosbox frontend kan je dat heel makkelijk doen, maar ook met dosbox zelf moet dat wel te doen zijn.
