Situatie:
Onlangs heb ik Vista Business geinstalleerd op een nieuwe Seagate Barracuda 7200,10 400 GB.
(C:) Simple Basic NTFS Primary Partition > 70 GB
Unallocated > 330 GB
Nu wil ik de volgende situatie net als bij mijn vorige (XP) systeem:
(C:) Simple Basic NTFS Primary Partition > 70 GB
<< Extended Partition >>
(D:) Simple Basic NTFS Logical Drive > 100 GB
(E:) Simple Basic NTFS Logical Drive > 200 GB
(F:) Simple Basic NTFS Logical Drive > 30 GB

Een vriend van me heeft het bij hem voor elkaar gekregen. Hij had deze optie volgens hem in de Disk Management snap-in. Zelf heb ik deze optie niet. Als ik op de Unallocated space klik kan ik enkel kiezen voor New Simple Volume. Vervolgens maakt hij weer een Primay Partition aan.
Microsoft zegt hetvolgende hierover:
"In this version of Windows, when you use Disk Management, a Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in, to create partitions on a basic disk, the first three partitions you create are primary partitions. These can be used to start an operating system. If you want to create more than three partitions, the fourth partition is created as an extended partition."
Hoe krijg ik het toch voor elkaar mbv van enkel Disk Management? Die vriend heeft het immers ook zo voor elkaar gekregen. Ik heb dezelfde stappen als hem gedaan: lege hd > installatie Vista > één Primary Partition aanmaken tijdens installatie.
In de search en via Google niks concreets kunnen vinden behalve via Partition Magic of andere tools.
