Krijg MCafee niet geinstalleerd.

Ik wou even mijn virusscan updaten dus ik heb mcafee 2007 gekocht/gekregen bij xs4all. Maar als ik hem wil installeren zegt hij dat er incompatibiliteit is met sophos (had ik vroeger als virus scanner) en mcafee. Toen heb ik mcafee geuninstalled. Dit wou ik ook met sophos doen maar die stond helemaal niet meer geinstalleerd op mijn pc. Ik heb toen gezocht op mijn schijf naar sophos en dat verwijderd, maar als ik mcafee 2007 wil installeren dan zegt hij dat het er nog steeds op staat. Iemand een idee hoe ik mcafee kan installeren kan installeren.

Zoek eens in je registry op Sophos en verwijder alle sleutels met Sophos erin...

Hmm, als je dat niet weet is het misschien minder handig om dit zelf te gaan doen, want als je wat verkeerds doet in je register, heb je een probleem...

1. Run Registry Editor, regedit.exe.

2. Sophos recommends that you back up your current registry settings.

To do this on Windows XP or later, in the left-hand pane, select "My
Computer". On the "File" menu, click "Export", and save the registry
file.

To do this on Windows 2000, in the left-hand pane, select "My Computer".
On the "Registry" menu, click "Export Registry File", and save the
registry file.

3. In the left-hand pane, find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sophos key.

If Sophos Anti-Virus is the only Sophos product that was installed,
select the "Sophos" key and press 'Delete'.

Otherwise, under the "Sophos" key, select the "SAVI" key and press
'Delete'.

4. In the left-hand pane, find the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Sophos key.

If Sophos Anti-Virus is the only Sophos product that was installed,
select the "Sophos" key and press 'Delete'.

Otherwise, under the "Sophos" key, select the "Sophos Anti-Virus" key and
press 'Delete'. If it is not there, you don't need to take any action.

5. Close Registry Editor.

6. Reboot the computer to completely remove Sophos Anti-Virus drivers from
the computer.

download regcleaner en laat die een automatische check van je register doen. Niet gebruikte keys worden dan als het goed is, verwijderd.
