Grub; nog een windowspartitie toevoegen lukt niet - Linux en overige clients

Probleem in het kort:

Ik weet hoe ik de grub instellingen kan wijzigen en zo, maar op mijn 2de HD heb ik nu ook windows XP geinstalleerd, maar waarschijnlijk omdat Acronis True Image de mbr aangepast heeft zodat je via F11 nu in een Acronismenu komt, lukt het me niet om het werkend te krijgen.

HD 1: Sata schijf van Maxtor (250 GB, 16 mb buffer)
Hierop staat zowel Windows als Ubuntu (7.04) met Windows op c:

HD 2: IDE schijf van Maxtor
Hierop staat ook een Windows XP
Op deze XP is ook Acronis True Image geinstalleerd met de 'StartupRecovery' (weet niet meer precies hoe het heet. Je kan in elk geval buiten Windows om en zonder bootcd's backups terugzetten)

In Grub werkt alles perfect (heb al ff ingesteld dat windows de default is, enzovoorts).
Maar ik wil ook graag de tweede windows in het menu hebben.

Hoe heb ik dat gedaan: gewoon de regels van de eerste WXP gekopieerd, maar dan (h0,0) veranderd in (h1,0), en de titel veranderd.

Dat moet toch goed zijn? (waarschijnlijk niet; ik zal nog wel ff een screenshotje posten, maar ik zit nu niet in Ubuntu)

chown -R us ./base

Gooi alsjeblieft je menu.lst hier tussen [code()] en [/code()] tags, dat leest een stuk makkelijker. Imageshack doet het hier niet zo goed dus..

wat ik nog meer gedaan heb:

1:
in de ubuntuguide zag ik het volgende staan om windows op een andere HD te loaden

Dit werkte niet; ik heb deze ook zonder regel 2 en 3 gedaan, dus zonder de 'map'

2:
ik heb ook nog gekeken of grub uberhaubt deze tweede IDE hd ziet met dit:

maar dan ziet ie maar een hd. De hd0.

Ik neem aan dat ik dit op de een of andere manier zelf moet toevoegen. Maar hoe? (dev/sda klopt dan niet meer, en dit moet dev/hda worden neem ik aan)

ik heb de device.map handmatig aangepast, zodat ie nu ook de dev/hda als hd1 ziet.

Ik ben er uit. De oplossing:

De oplossing lijkt heel erg op de oplossing die ik eerder al probeerde, maar nu zonder de vermelding (hd1,0) achter chainloader (regel 6).

Verder had ik zoals vermeld mijn tweede hd handmatig toegevoegd in device.map, maar dat was waarschijnlijk niet nodig.

Je kunt grub hardeschijven laten detecteren met "grub-install --recheck". Mooi dat je eruit bent gekomen.
