[C] VLC mediaplayer besturen vanuit een c programma

hallo,

ik ben bezig met een projectje voor school waarvoor ik VLC playlists moet laten afspelen op bepaalde condities. ik gebruik VLC onder ubuntu. ik wil dus uiteindelijk 2 playlists gaan gebruiken en mijn C programma moet dus continue checken op bepaalde condities en aan de hand daarvan VLC on the fly aansturen met een andere playlist.

ik gebruik nu deze code:

Verder runt mijn programma niet door wanneer VLC draait, heeft iemand hier oplossingen voor?
En algemene programmeer tips over hoe ik deze aansturing aan moet pakken?

Weet iemand trouwens of/hoe het mogelijk is om de vlc player(beeld van avi bijv.) te integreren in een QT applicatie?
