[XP] Rare mappen op C-schijf*

Hey,

Ik heb nog niet zolang een nieuwe notebook (versie XP) en als ik op de C-schijf kijk, verschijnen er steeds nieuwe en rare mappen (zie hieronder). Op fora zeiden ze me dat dat automatische-updates mappen zijn.

Ik heb deze vraag al op verschillende fora gezet, en de ene antwoordt dat ik die mag verwijderen en de andere zegt dat ik die moet verbergen. Ik weet dus niet wat doen...

Mag ik deze mappen verwijderen? En wat moet ik doen om te voorkomen dat ik nog zo mappen krijg? Want ik heb er ondertussen al een 40-tal...

Hopelijk weet iemand raad.

En waarom geloof je ze niet op die andere forums? Ze hebben gelijk, het komt van updates die niet goed zijn opgeruimd. Gewoon weggooien

Zijn inderdaad windows update mappen.
Een bepaalde update wil niet en blijft gedownload worden.

Even kijken welke update dat (gokje : MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB927978)) is en dan daarop zoeken (google).
Dan dat stappenplan volgen.

Ah... het is niet dat ik ze niet geloof. Ik zou ze gewoon graag verwijderen, maar de ene raadt me dus duidelijk aan dat niet te doen en de andere wel. En ik wil niks verkeerds doen... Kan ik dat dan afzetten? Dat mjn xp die mappen opslaat?
