BillB, thanks for your feedback. I think you have listed about every OC area parameter/measurement possible that I will be looking into to post some more data shortly for your reference once I have figured it all out. Believe me… I want to push this system as I did not buy it for the fun of spending (wasting) my money.
There is one simple question though that I still can not figure out;
In BASIC DEFAULTS SETTINGS my previous rig ( A8N SLI deluxe _ Athon64 3200+ ) gives me a better result in SLI performance than the current one( A8N32-SLI Deluxe with Athlon64 4000+ ) .. this does not make any sense to me from a basic “logic” perspective, unless I was completely put on the wrong foot on what to expect from this ‘upgrade’ to start with.
If only a Nforce 680MOBO, a 8800GT GPU and a FX60 CPU are going to bring me the ultimate game experience I will have to re-point my focus and bail out because I will not spend $2-3K on such materials.
I just want to play Rainbow Six Vegas and alike games in Maximum Settings without lag… my wishes are modest.. J.
My judgment was that the current rig ( yes, with OC’ing ) should be able to get me there.. if not … ? WAKE ME UP FROM MY DREAM !
