BenQ ATAPI 48x16 brandprobleem

Gegroet,

ik heb al zolang ik mijn pc heb (jaar of 3) een probleem met mijn cdbrander. Heel simpel gesteld: het apparaat doet niets. Het leest geen CD's die ik erin stop, het wil niet branden, feitelijk wil het hele apparaat niets doen.

Het is volgens windows apparaatbeheer een Atapi 48x16 CD-R/RW. Het apparaat is van BenQ. Windows meldt dat het apparaat correct werkt. Het is schijf F:

Iemand enig idee wat hier het probleem zou kunnen zijn?

Apparaat kapot?

Wow, wat een nuttige reply. Windows zou het apparaat toch niet herkennen als het kapot was?

Windows kan het apparaat wel degelijk via de IDE gewoon herkennen als cdwriter terwijl het apparaat defect is of misschien zelfs niet eens cd's weet op te spinnen.

En als je altijd al problemen hebt gehad met zelfs het afspelen van cd's dan denk ik zelf ook dat het apparaat niet goed is
