[iTunes] Library automatisch laten syncen met folders

iTunes may be great at syncing music to the iPod, but for whatever reason, Apple likes to make it difficult to sync iTunes to music folders on your computer unless iTunes was responsible for that music (e.g., you downloaded or ripped the music using iTunes). I'm not a big fan of that kind of monopoly on my music, so thank goodness for the freeware program iTunes Library Updater. With the iTunes Library Updater, you can automatically sync and update iTunes with any folder(s) on your hard drive.

En dat is nou precies mijn punt. Dit handige tooltje is helaas alleen beschikbaar voor Windows, en ik was benieuwd of iemand een oplossing voor het Mac platform heeft. Ik ben al diverse dingen tegengekomen, zoals:

- iTunify (beweert op hun site dat je "Scan folder of choice for tracks not listed in iTunes" kunt doen, maar ik zie het niet staan in het programmaatje.
- Diverse andere sites beschrijven dit probleem, o.a. Digg en LifeHacker, maar verwijzen allemaal naar het tooltje voor Windows.
- Op macupdate.com en soortgelijken staan heel veel dingetjes, maar ben nu door 10 pagina's resultaten en nog steeds geen simpel (freeware liefst) tooltje die kijkt of een map nieuwe muziek bevat of niet.
