vob files op cdrom zetten met dvd indeling

Hoi,
weet iemand toevallig hoe je vob bestanden op een cd-rom zet maar dan met een dvd indeling. want ik heb een aantal DD en thx filmpjes en die zou ik graag via mijn hardware dvd speler af willen spelen!

Dat wordt een lastige klus, aangezien je de CDrom als DVD formaat moet gaan schrijven. Ik denk dat je dan bij een DVD brand programma terecht komt wat ook CDr's ondersteunt.

Nogmaals branden in DVD formaat zal niet meevallen.

Je kan ook SVCD proberen, dat ondersteunt ook DD !

Meen je dat dat is natuurlijk ook een op lossing weet jij meschien hoe ik er dd op krijg want Stereo in mij al wel gelukt maar op mijn dvd speler kwam [pcm 44.1 Khz] te staan! dat is toch geen dd!

It isn't possible to take the contents of a DVD-Video or DVD-ROM and
record the whole thing onto a CD-R, unless the DVD is nearly empty.
The capacity of DVD discs is considerably greater. Generally speaking,
you can't play DVD content from a CD-R disc anyway, because the DVD drive
needs to read encryption keys from outside the filesystem area.

You could, of course, capture the video from a DVD-Video disc with a video
capture board, re-encode it with MPEG-1, and write that as a VideoCD.
The quality would be VHS-grade though. (You can get better results
with MP3 audio and MPEG-4 video, but the process is a little convoluted.

If you're only interested in the audio portion of a DVD-Video, you can
extract the AC3 audio directly from the .VOB file, using some freely
available utilities (notably "ac3dec" and the elusive "DeCSS"). You will
need to convert the audio from 48KHz to 44.1KHz. You can also capture
it under Windows with Total Recorder ( http://www.highcriteria.com/ ).

The story is the same with DVD-ROM: you can probably copy it to a CD-R if
it will fit. If the contents only took up about 650MB, though, it probably
wouldn't have been shipped on a DVD-ROM.

Ik ga nog even op zoek naar meer informatie, want ik dacht dat er mooie software was om cd-r's te branden die je (met .vob-jes gevuld) kon bekijken, hoor je nog van me..

Lijkt me lastig als je 1.0 GB VOB-bestanden op een 650 MB CD wilt krijgen.
Ik denk dat je het best het volgende kan doen:
- comprimeer de video naar divx.
- rip het geluid van de DVD in AC3 formaat (Graphedit). Hiermee blijft het geluid in de originele 5.1 (DD) formaat.
- gebruik (een speciale versie van) Virtual Dub om het AC3-spoor ongewijzigd onder je DivX te hangen.
- Voor echt mooi beeld en geluid, denk dan wel aan minimaal 3 CD's. Dan heb je 1500 MB video en 300 MB audio.

Nogmaals, je audio is dus de originele audio van de DVD, direct onder je video. Zonder bewerkingen... Daarom is je audio-bestand dan ook ruim 300 MB, ipv het gebruikelijke 100 MB.
